My Autumn 2018 Makeup Edit

Autumn has officially begun. For me, that means switching up my wardrobe and my beauty stash. This year, I will be sticking to a few old favorites but most of my list contains new products that I’ve been wanting to use for a while now. In terms of color selection, I prefer using darker shades during this time of the year. There is just nothing more exciting done wearing a deep brown or dark red lipstick whilst sporting your favorite thigh high boots! If this sounds interesting to you, let’s dive deeper into My Autumn 2018 Makeup Edit!

Foundation

For Foundation, I won’t promise to be a loyal girl. Currently, I am loving the Colorstay Full Cover Foundation by Revlon which I recently talked about but I also have my eye on Huday Beauty’s #FauxFilter Foundation and Hourglass’ Veil Fluid Foundation which are a part of my recent purchases.

Eye Liners and Mascara

Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara is my current choice although it’s not necessarily a favorite yet. I just love how long this product lasts and how it makes my lashes look thicker and fuller. L’Oreal Paris Lash Paradise Mascara Primer is a recent discovery and it has become one of my daily essentials. I will share a full review soon so watch out for that! For eyeliners, I will stay loyal to the Flyliner from Fenty Beauty because I love how precise and long-lasting this liner is. I am also excited to start using the Magic Marc’er Precision Liquid Eyeliner from Marc Jacobs which has been sitting peacefully in my drawer for the past few weeks.

Lipsticks

Lipsticks are one of the most exciting this season and I will be sticking with darker shades. Deep Browns, Reds, and Purples will definitely be a regular for me this Fall. For my work lipstick, I may still use a few nudes like the Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Stain from Yves Saint Laurent in the shade Nude Rose. The

Blushes, Bronzers and Contour Products

For blushes, I also opted for deeper shades like NARS’ Dolce Vita and MAC’s Plum Foolery. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer is also making a come back in my stash this season. Whilst Benefit Cosmetics’ Hoola Creme-to-Powder Contour Stick is a new addition. I have actually already started using this product and so far I am liking it!

Shimmers

Highlighters are definitely one of my favorites but this season I am planning to go extra! By this, I mean adding the Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter from Marc Jacobs and NARS’ Orasgm Illuminating Loose Powder and The Multiple in the shade South Beach with my current favorite highlighters from Fenty Beauty. I am more excited about the Coconut Gel Highlighter because of the great reviews I read about it.

Powders

For Powders, I am already using the Veil Translucent Setting Powder from Hourglass but I will be interchanging it with Huda Beauty’s Easy Bake Loose Baking Powder. I’ve recently started baking my under eye and cheeks on a regular basis so I am in the stage where I am trying out different powders. Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder is still my all-time favorite but I have high hopes on the Easy Bake Powder because of all the hype.

Primers, Concealer, and Brow Products

alt=

These products are my basics but they are as important as the others. Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Retouch Primer is the one I am most excited about from all of these products because I love anything Fenty! For face primer, I am currently loyal to the COVERGIRL’S TruBlend Base Business Skin Primer in Color Neutralizing since I have been having so much redness in my cheek area. It really helps to correct my redness plus it keeps my makeup in place which is an added bonus.

Eyeshadows

alt=

For eyeshadows, I want to be more flexible depending on my day. However, I see myself reaching for oranges and lighter shades for my everyday look. Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Modern Renaissance and Huda Beauty’s Obsession Palette in Topaz are my current picks but I see myself expanding in other palettes as well.
