I think I mentioned quite a number of times how much I’m in love with eyeliners. In the world of makeup, I’ll consider it as my first love and I think it might have been a love at first sight! So it’s always been so much fun for me to discover the newest and most innovative liners in the market.
My recent discovery is the Curvitude Liner by Maybelline. It’s the company’s first ever angled liner and the very first liner I’ve ever loved from them.
I was initially intrigued on how angled this liner is and thought maybe it would make application much faster which could be perfect for days when I don’t have much time to get ready. To be totally honest though, I wasn’t expecting much from this liner because I was always been disappointed with every eyeliner I have tried from Maybelline but boy I was wrong! Because this is actually my favorite liner at the moment loudly bumping off Tarteist Clay Painter Liner by Tarte.
This liner literally cuts off half of the time I spend for eyeliner application because it’s so easy to use. It glides so smoothly and the color is so rich and vibrant almost as black as the night which is a big thumbs up for me since I prefer really dark liners. The color also never fades or diminished all throughout the day, when I’m ready to remove it at night it would still look like I just applied it. This also dries quickly which is not always the case with liquid liners so this again is such a time saver. I even tried using it with and without applying an eye primer and I didn’t notice any smudging or creasing on both occasions all throughout the day.
I really think that the curved design of the liner made most of the difference because it can really target the area you want to line with precision. The thin tip can help to cleanly line the inner corner of the eye which I find mostly impossible with other liquid liners. This also made winged liner so much easier so this is perfect for anyone who is having trouble perfecting this look.
Maybelline seems to be so generous on this liner because after one month of using it, I still notice the same amount of product and consistency from the applicator so I think that this would last a decent time.
The only flaw I noticed is that it could be difficult to completely remove the liner even after using a makeup remover. So what I do is to first use makeup wipes to remove it, when washing my face, I’d make sure to spend more time in my eye area and finally, I’ll use a makeup remover to take it off which seems to work well.
Over all, I really love this liner and would highly recommend it to you all. I just hope that Maybelline will create more colors for this liner so it can cater everyone’s color preference. For $11.99 CAD you are getting a really good deal for a good quality liner. I’m really surprised to see this kind of quality and result from a drugstore brand so it seems that Maybelline is really stepping up their game.
