If you are like me, you are probably always looking for ways to grow your blog. As the world is currently hibernating due to what’s been happening lately, you may want to focus on the bright side and take this chance to expand and grow your blog’s audience. Here are a few tips on How to Step-up your Blogging game this Quarantine Period that you may find helpful!
How to Step-up your Blogging game this Quarantine Period
1. Give your Website a Makeover!
Your website has to be eye catching! This is a statement or advise you’ve probably heard or read too many times before and this is a fact! One of the reasons why your audience stays and navigate through your blog is its layout and design.
This is even true to all type of websites other than a blog. So since you probably have some extra time to spare right now, use it to glam your site!
There’s absolutely no need to spend a ton of money or make some drastic changes if you don’t want to. Even small adjustments like your font choice, colour scheme or even your blog layout can make all the difference.
Of course never forget to keep in mind that your site needs to be easily navigated, unique and reflects what your blog is all about.
2. Share & Encourage Positivity
The world is definitely dealing with a lot right now due to what’s going on around us. This time can be very difficult to a lot of people and it’s just right to use your voice to share and encourage positivity at this difficult time to your readers.
Be authentic and if you wish, share your own personal experiences or advices on how you cope during this time. Your audiences will feel your sincerity and may want to keep coming back on your site for more encouragements during this time and beyond.
3. Have a consistent posting schedule
This actually applies all year round if you wish to have a consistent growth on your website. However, this is all the more important at this time. Why? Well, a lot of us are currently home bound and are mostly spending our time online.
Use this chance to share more articles to keep your existing audience to come back on your website regularly.
You may even want to let your audience know about your blogging schedule or simply post consistently on a weekly basis. Doing this will help you earn regular readers who will most probably wait for your next post to come!
4. Promote your website through Facebook Ads
If you wish to step a little further with some dollars to spare, try promoting your website or even any of your well-written articles on Facebook.
A lot of people are spending more time on social media particularly Facebook at this time and you may get the most of your ads because of this prompting more visits on your website. You may even grow your Facebook page (if you already have one) by doing this. It’s like hitting one bird with one stone!
If you want to promote one of your articles, choose one that you are really proud of and is relatable to a lot of people. Make sure to carefully choose your target audience so you can hit the right people. If needed, re-read the article and do some revisions before deciding to promote it.
Doing this will help you attract new readers or visitors on your website.
5. Actively Promote your Website on Social Media
Since we are talking about social media, let’s include being active on this list! Again, since a lot of people are probably more active on social media now a days, use it to talk about your blog or any of your published article.
Make sure to be creative and not redundant to get a more positive result!
6. Share Relatable Articles
Your content is still the most important part of your website. To keep your audience from coming back and from attracting new readers, share articles that are appropriate, encouraging and very relatable.
Study the responses and views you get from your previous articles and use that data to decide what type of content you should talk about more.
Another good source to consider is the most searched keywords on your website. Create more content about the topics that your readers are looking for.
If your audience are searching for more Fashion advices, create an article about this instead of sharing a makeup tutorial. You have to always give what your audience are looking for in order for them to keep coming back!
That’s all for today and I hope you find this post helpful!
