NARS Orgasm Liquid Blush Review

Liquid Blushes can be overwhelming for some and that’s understandable since there’s really not a lot of options out there. Not only that but the comfort of using a good old powder blush is much more simpler! However, if you are aiming to look outside the box, here is my NARS Orgasm Liquid Blush Review to help you decide if this one is for you!

What is it?

NARS claims this to be a buildable blush with a good blendable coverage. It gives you a natural looking finish which is what makes this product really interesting.

To date, this collection has four different shades: Orgasm, Natural Finish, Torrid, Luster and Dolce Vita.

What I love about this Blush?

I can’t remember the last time I own a liquid blush prior to this one. So since NARS’ powder blushes are one of my favourites, I decided to snag the Liquid Blush in the shade Orgasm on one of my Sephora trips which turned out to be a good idea!

Firstly, I really like the aesthetic behind the packaging. The bottle just look simple yet sophisticated coupled with a simple opening cap with the NARS’ signature matte black colour.

The bottle size is also pretty decent which does not take so much space to store and it’s a really good item to travel with.

I guess it’s also smart that the bottle comes with a pump making it super easy and clean to take the product out considering that it’s liquid. The pump also helps you control the amount of product that you want to take making sure that you are not waisting a single drop.

So far, I did not notice any change in the quality of the pump after a few months of using the blush which I find really good since I’ve always experienced trouble with these type of pumps on other products.

Application is also pretty simple. I just put 1 pump of the blush on my fingers and dab it on my cheeks and that’s basically it!

What I notice is that the product tends to be very pigmented after you pump it from the bottle which can be overwhelming especially if you are looking for a subtle look. However, the shade will eventually tone down after being applied.

It’s also very easy to blend even if you’re just using your fingers but if you prefer, you can also use a brush to blend the blush thoroughly.

I noticed that my skin generally absorbs the product easily which makes blending even more easier. Because of this, the finish really looks natural which is a big yes for me!

What didn't I like about the Blush?

If there’s one thing that I do not like about this blush, it would be its price. I don’t really have a product in mind to compare this with but I feel like paying for $39.00 CAD for a 15 ML liquid blush is a bit steep.

I really feel like NARS can still manage to lower down the price just like many of their products.

The Verdict

Overall, I highly recommend this blush if you are opting for a liquid formula. Although this is not for everyone, it’s still a good try if you have a drier skin or if you are looking for a blush during Winter or on colder days when your skin is on its driest.

With that being said, I tend to have a dry skin which is probably why this blush suited me really well.

I find the formula really amazing since it does not feel heavy on the skin and it also does not feel sticky.

It’s also very easy to play with it. You can go for natural look or you can build it up if you are opting for a more intensified finish.

This has been one of my go-to blushes for the past few months and I intend to keep it that way for now!

What are your thoughts about this blush? Would you recommend it or give it a try?

Till next time,
