Scenic Views from Varadero, Cuba
One of my favorites this Summer is my short trip to Cuba. It was an unplanned trip but definitely fun, relaxing and full of explorations. We spent the majority of our stay in Varadero and if I have one word to describe the place it would probably be paradise! If you are already following me on my Instagram page, you may have already seen a few pictures that I shared and if you are not, then here are the Scenic Views from Varadero, Cuba and a glimpse of my treasured moments in this beautiful place!
Scenic Views from Varadero, Cuba
Our first day started by fixing our itineraries for the next couple of days and as soon as everything is settled, we immediately hit the beach! Apparently, Varadero has the best beaches in Cuba so thumbs up for my sister for choosing this place.
The closest beach to our hotel (literally just a few minutes away!) is the Varadero Beach which has beautiful white sands and clear turquoise water. Immediately after the first glance, I was amazed! In love with the place even. The warm water is very inviting but my favorite was the small huts lined across the shore. One word, beautiful! Staying all day at this beach is a dream for me especially that the “bar” serves a really good Pińa Colada for only one Cuban peso!
Seeing and touching a dolphin up close and personal is another highlight! It gave me a child-like excitement which I surprisingly still have. This was not a first time for me to see a Dolphin but definitely, the first time for me to touch and feel one. Honestly, the feeling was indescribable! Rumor has it that Dolphins are special, I guess that’s true after all.
Cayo Blanco Beach is another beach that we visited which for me, is as beautiful as the Varadero Beach. It also has white sands and clear water. The shore was surrounded by beautiful palm trees which completed the full beach vibe. Most importantly, this is where I tasted the best Piña Colada ever!
Hotel Melia Marina Varadero is where we stayed which made the experience more worthwhile. Their complete amenities are outstanding and we were always greeted nicely by their staff. On our last day, we wanted to try their SPA services but unfortunately, all of their staff are occupied. If you are planning to stay in this hotel, it’s advisable to book a reservation or appointment at least a day in advance to secure your spot. Other than that, our hotel experience was nothing but excellent!
Varadero has definitely captured my heart and it is a place I would want to revisit in the future. I have been to a few beaches before, but Varadero Beach and Cayo Blanco were absolutely two of the best! The people were mainly polite and tried to communicate with us even with their limited English and our limited Spanish. For food, I wasn’t expecting much as I’ve heard a few unpleasant comments about it so I guess it didn’t really hurt me much.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the experience was unforgettable! If you are planning for a getaway this Winter, this place might be a good idea. Cost wise is also affordable so that’s an added bonus! The scenic views from Varadero, Cuba will definitely capture your heart and you’ll go home with good memories and a few Instagram worthy pictures!
Have you been to Varadero? Would you consider visiting this place?
