“e.l.f. Autumn Haul”
Elf cosmetics is one of the most affordable beauty brands in the market yet their quality is very much comparable to some higher end brands making it one of the most craved and talked about line in the beauty world. This month, I decided to splurge myself a bit on their website because unfortunately although e.l.f. is available in some stores (like Old Navy, Winners & Walmart) here in Canada, most doesn’t carry a wide variety of their products so I had to make my purchase online and had to endure paying (the most hated) the duty tax ($16.00 CAD).
For today’s post, I won’t be able to share some swatches because this is already a long post but no worries you guys because I’ll be sharing a more detailed review once I start using these babies!
Before we start, let me share with you how packed the box looked liked when I opened it!
Now let’s begin!
•Velvet Matte Lipstick in Berry Bordeaux•
I’ve purchased this lipstick before and I really like it so this is just a repurchase or most likely a reserve since I haven’t it finish off the first one yet. I like how creamy this lipstick is and the color is just amazing. I love dark lipstick shades so this is one of my go to lipsies.
•Velvet Matte Lipstick in Blushing Brown•
This is just another shade of the e.l.f.’s matte lipstick line. Again, I really like quality of this lipstick so I just picked up another shade.
•Lip Exfoliator in Sweet Cherry•
My lips tend to dry so much during the cold season so I had to pick this up. This apparently helps to avoid dry and chapped lips and is infused with Vitamin E so hopefully this will save my lips especially during the Winter!
•Prep & Hydrate Balm•
I’ve heard so much good reviews about this balm so I’m really excited to finally snag it. This can act as a primer to prepare your skin before makeup application but can also be used to hydrate the hands, elbow and knees.
•All Over Color Stick in Persimmon•
This is a highlighting stick that retails for only $1.00. USD and so that’s basically the reason why I bought it. The consistency seems to be so creamy but it looks a bit glittery so I’m not exactly sure if I’m going to like it.
•Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal and Golden Peach•
These highlighters also retails for just $1.00 USD whicg again is the reason why I bought them. They can be used in the eyes or cheeks which ia good because you’re basically getting a dual purpose product for just a dollar! How can I say no?!
•Smooth Matte Eyeshadow in Brown Cashmere•
This is so cute you guys and it’s only for $2.00 USD! The container is way similar to a liquid lipstick bottle including the applicator. I am really wondering if it’s going to help for an easier and faster application so I can’t wait to start using this.
•Blush Palette in Light•
I am not really a blush type of gal but this one is included on the “Best Sellers Kit” ($12.50 USD) including the highlighter brush, lip exfoliator, creme eyeliner and the matte lip color in wine. The palette contains four shades, it has a combination of shimmery and matte finish.
•Highlighting Brush•
I haven’t used this brush yet but it feels so smooth and thick. It also looks sturdy which is honestly a surprise to me since brushes that came from a kit usually is completely useless but this one is definitely an exception.
•Blending Eye Brush•
This is one of the famous $1.00 USD brushes from e.l.f. Just like the highlighting brush, this feels so soft and thick and seems very sturdy for a cheap brush.
•Cream Eyeliner in Black•
This is another old favorite which again is included in the Best Sellers Kit. It really is very creamy which made is super easy to use. It also last all day which is why I just love this liner!
•Brow Pencil in Neutral Brown•
This is actually a “need” since ran out of brow pencils. I liked that this came with a brow brush which is just handy. This retails for just $2.00 USD.
With this purchase, I also managed to get a free kit e.l.f beautifully calls “Fall Beauty Set”. This free kit is a part of their promotion at that time I made my purchase. The kit contained the following:
•Lip Liner and Blending Blush in Wine•
This is probably my favorite in this kit because of the lip liner. This basically has is a lip duo as the name states, the one side is a brush which I find a bit thicker than a usual lip brush and the other side is a lip liner.
•Volumizing & Defining Mascara in Black•
I have never liked any elf mascara as of yet so I’m a bit worried on this one but hopefully it won’t disappoint me.
•Lip Lacquer in Natural•
This is basically my least favorite because I don’t really like neutral or light shade lipsticks because they doesn’t really look good on my skin tone. I would probably give this a try or would give it away to someone who would be able to put it to use.
•Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow in Toast•
This is a shimmery goldish brown eyeshadow which is my absolute favorite type of shade. It looks so creamy and blendable. I would probably use this as a daily eyeshadow because it can go with a lot of different colors.
And that’s my e.l.f. haul! Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Watch out for a detailed product review on these products really soon!
Much love,
