L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Primer

A lash primer is probably the least of my concern when it comes to makeup. However, during one of my trips to the drugstore, I was intrigued to find the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Primer in one of the counters. Since I really loved the Voluminous Lash Mascara, I thought it would be a good idea to give this a try.

What do I like about it?

Similar to the Voluminous Lash Mascara, the rose gold tube is what I noticed first about this primer. It definitely gave an added allure in my already apparent curiosity. Not only that but the tube also has a decent size which makes the price reasonable.

Upon opening the product, the first thing I noticed was the applicator. The brush has short strands but thick enough to pick up enough product. Because of this, the application is a breeze. I really like how those short bristles can evenly apply the primer in every strand of my eyelashes. Since the tip of the applicator is narrower, I can also easily apply the product on my lashes in my inner eye corner.

The best thing about this lash primer is how it helped to not only make my lashes longer but also fuller regardless if you use it with different mascaras. L’Oreal obviously recommends to pair it with the Voluminous Lash Mascara but I noticed no huge difference when paired with other mascaras. Quite honestly, I even use it with a few of my least favorite mascaras and it did accentuate the finish look which impressed me because now, I don’t have to waste those products.

What I don’t like about it?

Personally, I hate clumpy lashes. It’s definitely one of the worst! With this primer, you have to make sure to use just the right amount of product if not, it has the tendency to clump your lashes. You can try to fix it by combing the excess product from your lashes but I find it a waste of time. Another thing is that it makes my mascara difficult to remove. I had to spend a longer time than usual to completely remove any traces of mascara in my lashes which again is a waste of time.

The Verdict

Overall, I would give this lash primer a 4 out of 5 rating. The result is very apparent whenever I am pairing this with any mascara which for me is really impressive. My lashes are non-existent so this product really is a game changer. Also, I’ve never really used any lash primer that worked well than this one. However, it would be better if L’Oreal would tweak the formula a bit so the clumpy effect can be avoided. If you are like me who wants to have a fuller lashes sans the falsies, this product might be the one for you. Just be aware of the negative tendencies along with using it.

Have you tried this primer yet? Would you recommend it?
