My Me-Time Must-Haves

Socializing is important to detox our minds from our everyday stressors but spending some alone-time is just as important. Personally, I find it essential to always find time for myself after a stressful day or week to calm my mind, relax and recharge for another day. Solitude is a necessity! There are absolutely so many ways to enjoy your alone-time and it does not need to be expensive! You can simply go out for a walk, drink coffee at your favorite café or simply listen to your favorite music. It all depends on your own preference!

As for me, alone-time means enjoying the things that I love with a little bit of pampering. Nothing compares to the comfort of my own home with the things that are readily available for me! So I thought it would be fun to share the simple little things in my me-time must-haves!alt=alt=

A good book

Reading a book is perfect for ending the day right!  It resets your thoughts before snoozing and helps you to sleep (well, at least for me). Lately, I’ve been opting for poetry books because I find that I can finish them way faster than a novel given my schedule these past few weeks.

My Favorite Music Playlist

Music is absolutely a great way to relax. I prefer calm and slower songs when I needed to de-stress. This is also very handy because I can just plug in my earphones any time of the day to calm my senses!

Coffee

Some people prefers tea or wine but I am that coffee person! Life is not complete without a coffee regardless of the time! LOL. I don’t know, coffee just relaxes me and in a weird way, very calming.

Nail polish

This may sound weird but nail polish is a part of my me-time. Well, doing my nails generally feels like a reward after a long day.alt=

Face Masks

Nothing beats an at-home spa, don’t you think so? It’s not only calming but it’s also good for the skin, so it’s a double whammy! I usually put on my mask and then do my nails to complete my pampering package.

My trusted notebook

When I was younger, I called it a diary. Now, it’s my trusted notebook for no good reason. Here, I basically just pour what I feel by writing poetry, quotations or any blog ideas.

Makeup

Is it only me who finds applying makeup (even at the end of the day) calming? It’s weird but there are days when I am so stressed out that I would just sit down in front of a mirror, listen to my favorite music and then do my makeup! And damn was it refreshing! Weird but it works! And that’s my me-time must-haves! Did we have something in common? What are your me-time must-haves?xoxo,
