Winter 2017 Empties
It’s been a while since I last shared an empties post and that’s mainly because of the blog transitioning that’s been going on these past few months. Things are slowly going back to normal which is allowing me to go back to my regular posts like a monthly empties update so I thought I’d finally share with you guys what I’ve been using up these past three months.
Pixi Glow Tonic Toner (Review)
I purchased this small bottle to try out before getting the regular size. After using this toner for a few months, I now understand why everyone is loving it because it does works! It did a very good job removing any left over makeup on my skin that my cleanser was not able to remove and because of this I noticed a huge improvement on my skin.
Repurchase:
Yes!
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum (Review)
This serum has been a regular on my monthly favorites and empties because I really love it! This is by far the only product that helped brighten my brown spots caused by a previous acne breakout. The old spots are now completely gone after five months of consistenly using it so I would highly recommend this serum if you have the same issue.
Repurchase:
Already did!
Nivea, Caudalie and Wild and Wolf Lip Balms
OK. I think it’s obvious how lip balms are a big must haves for me during the Winter season because I absolutely hate dry lips. My favorite among these three is the Wild and Wolf Lip Balm because it’s the one that offered me more hydration whils my least favorite is the Caudalie lip balm since it felt a bit dry and it didn’t moisturize my lips that much.
Repurchase:
Just the Wild and Wolf lip balm I guess.
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Cleansing Gel
This was a part of my October 2017 Haul and I only started using it about early December. It was a sample size but it took me a while to completely finish it because the smell bothers me a lot! It has a strong alcoholish like smell which I think is not necessary for any skincare products. I honestly can’t even tell if it’s a good cleanser because I would always wash it off right away.
Repurchase:
No! No! No!
Caudalie, Fascy and Herbacin Hand Creams
The Fascyhand cream is my absolute favorite these thress because of the sweet smell and how well it moisturized my hands sans any greasiness. The Caudalie hand cream performed poorly just like the lip balm but I also liked its smell and the Herbacin Hand Cream actually is the most hydrating amongs the three but I hate how it felt greasy on my hands which is a big no for me.
Repurchase:
Yes for the Fascy Hand Cream.
Alba Hand and Body Lotion
I actually had this lotion for a while so I intentionally used it up because I do not want to waste it. I love Cocoa butter and I guess that’s the only reason why I bought this because other than that, I do not like anything about it anymore. It felt greasy on the skin, it did not moisturized my dry areas really well and the formula was very watery for my liking. Glad I can finally put this to the trash!
Repurchase:
Nahhh!
Sephora Samples
I did accumulate so much samples from Sephora and I absolutely want to use them up as well. I managed to clear a few sachets these past few months but I was only impressed with the overnight mask from Laneige.
Repurchase:
Aready did for the overnight mask from Laneige.
Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet Masks
I am not a big fan of sheet masks but when I saw these two at the drugstore, I was tempted. Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed with these masks so it kinda prove my hesitance for masks like these. I didn’t see any improvement or change in my skin after using both products which is very disappointing.
Skin & Co Truffle Theraphy Toner (Review)
I loved this toner so much that I was trying to make it last for a while but since it’s only a small sized bottle, it did ran out eventually. I like the cooling effect it gave on my skin and how it visibly removes any traces of makeup that my cleanser failed to remove.
Repurchase:
Yes but I think I have to search where can I get this since I have never seen this in any store near me.
Marc Anthony’s Styling Argan Oil
This is another product that I just want to get rid off because I didn’t really liked it. The smell was a bit strong for me and it made my hair oily so no!
Repurchase:
Again, no!
Clinique’s High Impact Custom Black Kajal
This was suppose to make my February Favorites but I decided not to include it mainly because this didn’t last me a month. The product kind of melted at the bottom which made it impossible for me to use the liner entirely. I hate products like that because I feel like I am not getting what I paid for which I consider unfair to every consuners.
Repurchase:
Maybe.
L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara (Review)
This is my favorite drugstore mascara which I think I already mentioned on the review. This is apparently a dupre for the Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara but I think that it has merits on its own. I also liked how it lasted for a while before completely drying out which means you are getting every single penny you spent for this mascara.
Repurchase:
Yes!
De Jour Croc Brightening Cream by Jayjun Cosmetics (Review)
I know I mentioned so much bad stuff about this cream on the review but I ended up liking it a bit after months of using it. It did not helped to brighten my skin at all like it’s supposed to do but it did an amazing job on moisturizing my skin which is what my skin needs this Winter.
Repurchase:
Probably not
Hope you found this post helpful!
