“Product Review: Skin & Co Truffle Therapy Face Toner”

This toner is one of the goodies I received in my October 2017 TopBox and honestly it didn’t really excite me because 1: I’m still a little bit skeptical when it comes to toners and 2: I have zero knowledge about Skin & Co or any of their products until this toner. So obviously, this toner sat for a while on my desk waiting to be used until I finally gave in around the beginning of this month because I just seriously want to get rid of it.

I really like the minimalistic packaging of this toner, it’s very simple but fab because of the gold, white and clear color combination. Although the bottle is made up of glass, it still very lightweight and seems sturdy so I didn’t have to worry about breaking it or something.

My doubt about using this toner slowly fades as soon as I open the bottle. The scent literally spells AMAZING! It’s like a soft earthy smell that seems to give me a relaxing feeling which is a perfect scent to prepare me to go to bed since I use this toner every night. However, the smell seems to fade after I apply all my nightly skin care products.

I did feel a bit of tingling feeling once I wiped a cotton pad filled with this truffle toner on my face but it’s very bearable and I thought it’s even relaxing. The consistency is liquidy but not greasy and you can also feel that on your skin. It just basically feels like a regular water on your face. It feels very lightweight on the skin which is something I’ve never experienced on any toners I have used before. It also dries so quickly so there’s no need to wait a while before applying my serum and moisturizer.

After a few uses, I noticed that this didn’t dry my skin or caused any redness or breakouts but at the same time, I didn’t notice any apparent benefits or any improvements in my skin since I started using this toner. It did help to cleanse any remaining trace of dirt or makeup in my face that my cleanser failed to remove but other than that I didn’t see any other effects.

I am impressed that this is such an effective toner based on what it’s supposed to do which is to get rid of any remaining dirt on the skin after cleansing. This made me realize how essential it is to use Toners regularly to help thoroughly remove any remaining traces of makeup or dirt on oir face which can cause breakouts. I definitely would repurchase this toner once I found out where to get it because again, I haven’t really heard of this brand before.

Have you tried this toner yet or anything from Skin and Co? Where can you purchase it? What’s your favorite toner?
Much love,

  1. So I got this product in my Topbox too and I was also not at all impressed upon first glance. I haven’t used it yet, in fact I haven’t used anything from that Topbox. I have actually cancelled my subscription with them (and that was my first month lol). However, seeing your review I am going to give it a try now!

    1. Oh my! I’ve also cancelled my subscription with them after receiving this month’s box which is also just my second month! LOL. I am seriously not at all impressed with the products I am receiving but this toner is just decent. You should try it maybe you’ll like it. 😊
