“October 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag Reveal + First Impressions”
Hey everyone! Hope all is well with y’all! I’m extremely excited for today’s post because yes! I am finally subscribed to Ipsy! Okay, I know I’m so late to join the bandwagon but as they say, “Better late than never!” so it’s all good yeah? Anyways, for those of you who are not aware about this subscription (which I think most of you already do!) Ipsy is a monthly subscription where you pay $10.00 USD (+$4.95 shipping fee) and receive five personalized products based entirely on your answers on your Profile. If you’re interested in subscribing, you can just click ( here ).
Now, on to the exciting part of this post,
What’s in my October 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag?
I literally just received it today and I just have to share it with you right away. Ipsy apparently ships the bags around the 4th of every month and since their warehouse is located in the US and I live in Canada, I thought it’s very decent for me to receive my bag today- October 13. The bag is wrap in a striking pink bubble wrap which I thought is so girly.
But before we open it, let’s please take a moment and absorb this beautifully written quote from the bag.
Ipsy also has different themes monthly which is pretty exciting. This month’s theme is “Spellbound” and to be honest, this didn’t give me any idea what to expect on my first glam bag. Although you can see a sneak peak of what you’re going to receive when you log in on your account on the IPSY App, I chose not to because it’s just gonna ruin the surprise.
The bag that’s included in this month’s box is a simple deep red bag with a lace like design and the zipper is adorned with a bat zipper puller.
My bag contains…
•Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty•
I think this is perfect for this season especially for the Winter when our skin are prone to dryness. The cream has a foamy consistency but readily melts on the skin. It also feels so smooth and does not feel or look oily.
•Satin Touch Blush by Essence•
I have seen this brand in the drugstore so many times but I’ve never really tried any of their product so I thought it’s nice to finally get a taste of this brand through Ipsy. The blush is coral pink which is so pigmented and feels soft and silky. I’m amazed that the color you see in the pan retains the same vibrance when applied on the skin. I’m not really into blushes but I’m ready to give this a try!
•Bronzed Eyeshadow by DLS•
DLS or Dirty Little Secret (cute name isn’t?) is a brand I’ve never heard before so I’m intrigued to use this eyeshadow. So far, I like the color of this eyeshadow which is like a shimmery or metallic brown. It’s very pigmented even in just one swipe. I think this would be perfect for an everyday fall makeup look.
•Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Perversion•
This is probably my favorite among the five because it’s not only from Urban Decay which is one of my favorite makeup brands but it’s also an eye pencil- my all time favorite makeup! I got the shade Perversion which is a deep black pencil. The color is so rich and vibrant and it also feels creamy.
`•Ultra HD Foundation from Make Up For Ever•
This is my least favorite only because I’m in no need of new foundation at the moment. I’m not sure if this even my shade because I didn’t really tried it on yet.
Over all I am happy with my first ever Ipsy Bag since I can see myself using 4 out of the 5 products. The sizes are also very decent so it’s worth my penny.
Hope you enjoyed this post!

Finding an Urban Decay item must have been a sweet surprise! That brand is so expensive and soooo nice!

Hey Arlene, I enjoyed this post. It sucks that I’ve been wanting to subscribe and receive Ipsy but they do not ship to the Caribbean and I have no other way of getting the stuff.
thatgirlArlene
Oh no! I hope Ipsy will ship there in the future. I really understand how it feels though, there’s a few online businesses that doesn’t ship here in Canada as well and if they do, wr have to pay a hefty price for shipping which is such a let down! Hope all of these will change really soon to make our lives better! LOL. Thanks for reading and I’m happy that you enjoyed this post! Sending ❤ to you hon! ?

That eyeshadow and blush are so pretty. I’m kinda wishing I had gotten those too. I did get that eyeliner which is okay, but ipsy already sends me enough eyeliners.

The eyeshadow is a bomb! It’s very pigmented and it came with a decent size. I think it’s gonna last me a while. Hopefully you’ll get better samples next month!

Yay, for joining Ipsy! The blush is beautiful! My tip is to make sure you review each product on Ipsy’s app to help make each bag a bit more ‘for you’ ?

Thank you for reminding me. I’ll definitely do that now so I won’t forget it. ?
