With everything that has been going on for the past few weeks, it’s important to always look at the brighter side! So, if you’re like me who’s stuck at home but still want to be productive, here are10 Home Projects to Accomplish this Week to help you take advantage of this quarantine life!
10 Home Projects to Accomplish this Week
1. Give your Winter Wear some TLC!
Cleaning up your Winter boots, tuques, gloves and basically your whole Winter gear is not always fun. However, since the season officially ended and you have some spare time to kill, it’s high time to give your Winter essentials some cleaning.
This is really important to preserve the quality of your Winter “stuff” well before storing them away.
2. Prep your Wardrobe for Spring & Summer
Spring is here and soon Summer will be on its way! This means a change of your go-to wardrobe essentials!
If you need to put away some of your Winter clothes in to storage, do it now! Prep all your Spring and Summer dresses, shoes and your favourite blouses or shirts so you have them clean and ready to wear!
3. Organize your wardrobe
And while you are prepping your wardrobe for the next seasons, it’s also the perfect chance to make some organization and sorting out.
Donate the items that you are no longer using and throw away stuff that are no longer usable. This will even help you create more space on your wardrobe!
4. Organize your Makeup Collection
Been looking for your favourite lipstick or concealer from your collection? Well, chances are they’ve been hiding underneath your makeup drawer that you haven’t gotten a chance to organize.
Well, you now have that perfect chance to dig in to those drawers and shelves! Reorganize your collection, sanitize the containers and clean your brushes!
5. Deep Clean your Bathroom
The bathroom is one of the dirtiest part of our houses. Yikes! Which means it needs a thorough cleaning regularly! So, if you haven’t yet, this is the perfect time to past your time!
Give the tile floor, sink, shower, toilet and bath tub some scrubbing that it needs. It’s also a very good idea to clean your bathroom cabinets and throw away things that you no longer need.
6. Clean your Kitchen Cabinets & Drawers
Another not-so-fun but important task is cleaning your kitchen cabinets & drawers. Organize your containers, pots, forks and spoons and disinfect the cabinets to keep it sparkling clean.
You may also want to re-wash old things that weren’t used for a long time before storing them again.
7. Do some gardening!
If you want to enjoy the outdoors without breaking the social distancing rules, do some gardening!
Plant those seeds you’ve been storing, remove some dried weeds and leaves, transfer your plants to another pot or simply clean your garden from all the chaos than Winter left!
This can also be therapeutic to rest and relax your mind!
8. Clean & Decorate your Patio
Since we are talking about the outdoors (or as outdoor as we can get given the current situation), it’s also a good idea to clean and decorate your patio to make it ready for the warmer season.
Try to be creative by using items that you already own or used previously and give your patio a good makeover!
You can find a lot of inspirations from Pinterest to give you an idea on what look to achieve!
9. Redecorate your Living Room!
If you are planning to host some guests this Spring and Summer, giving your Living Room a make over is a good idea right now!
Of course, you don’t have to break the bank on this! Simply reorganizing your furniture or adding some cute decor will do the job!
You can also add some plants if you don’t already to give this space a fresher look or even hang those frames that you’ve been wanting to hang for a while now!
If you already own one, try changing the pictures on it or rearrange how they’re hanged or displayed to give it a different look.
10. Fix anything that needs to be fixing!
Remember those things that you’ve been wanting to fix? Like the broken door, the light bulb that needs to be changed or basically anything that needs a fix. Yes, those! It’s time to accomplish all of these while you’re spending more time at home!
And there you have it! Hope you found this post helpful!
