My May 2019 Favourites

Happy Thursday everyone! As we are approaching the end of this month, I thought it would be fun for me to share My May 2019 Favourites! It’s been ages since I shared a similar post so I’m really excited to start doing this post monthly again! So let’s begin, shall we!

Perfume

Let’s begin with my ultimate obsession this month! The Versace Eros Pour Femme Eau de Parfum! This is the only item that I got during the last Sephora Sale and let me tell you it is freakin’ worth it!

Although I am not the best at describing scents, I can say that this perfume is sexy! It is not strong, heavy or too floral which makes it a perfect option for a night out.

On to my makeup favourites this month! First on our list is the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick. I will be sharing a detailed review about this foundation in the next coming days but let me tell you that this is one of the best foundations I’ve ever used so far!

I love the coverage and lightness of this product but mainly how it gives me a natural finish. It’s as if I am not wearing any foundation at all! But, as I said earlier, I’ll share a review about this product soon so definitely watch out for that.

I’ve been using mainly Fenty highlighters for the past few months but I wanted to switch it up this month. My choice was the Shimmering Skin Perfector in Vanilla Quartz by Becca Cosmetics. I ended up really liking it because it’s very subtle. The shimmer is not blinding and it blends well with my foundation and blush. This is a good choice if you are looking for a more natural shimmer.

Next, we have the Rouge Signature Lipstick from L’Oreal Paris in the shade I Explore. This is a nude brown shade which looks lighter when worn. It’s a perfect everyday lipstick since it looks very natural.

I’ve also been loving this eyebrow pencil from Miniso. I am not sure about the specific brand but I’ll definitely check it out whenever I get the chance to go back at the store to buy another one. I really like how precise it is and how it’s easy to use than a brow pomade. This really shortens my time to get ready in the morning so it’s definitely a plus!

Blush

For blushes, I’ve been loving the Love Joy blush from NARS. It’s a bronzed rose in shade which may seem overwhelming to wear daily but I ended up really liking it. It can look harsh if you are not careful during the application so you have to use a light hand and a fluffy brush. When blended properly, it can look natural which I really love!

Eyeshadow

For eyeshadow, the Morphe 35F Palette is my hero this month! Although I only use the matte shades in this palette, I still see a lot of potential from the shimmery shades. Overall, this palette is really amazing to create different looks at.

Mascara

On to mascaras! The Kat Von D Go Big or Go Home Mascara is absolutely amazing for helping to lengthen and thicken my lashes but so as the Worth the Hype mascara from NYX. I find that they work very similar! Both do not clump and smudge which is what I am looking for in a mascara.

One difference that I notice is that the Go Big or Go Home mascara is a bit drier than Worth the Hype. Obviously the latter is much affordable is definitely a good choice if you are looking for a dupe!

Skincare

For skincare, L’Occitane’s Shea Cleansing Oil is such a saviour! It removes all traces of makeup in my face which helps to avoid any new breakout. It’s very gentle, effective and much affordable than most cleansing oils.

Garnier’s Micellar Eye Makeup Remover Pads also made it in this list. First off, I love how handy it is so you can easily bring it with you to remove your eye makeup before hitting the gym. It easily removes eyeliner, waterproof mascara and eyeshadows!

Accessories

I’ve been lusting a lot of new accessory trend this Spring but my favourites are the pearl hair clips and gold or bronze earrings. I find it very classic and timeless. These trends are also wearable and are easily incorporated into any outfit.

There goes My May 2019 Favourites! What’s on your list this month?

Till next time,
