Summer 2018 Empties

Tossing used-up products has been a huge fulfillment for me for the past few months since I started sharing empties post. I am one of those people who loves trying out new things but would eventually get bored and move on to the next one. A typical Sagittarius trait I guess and yes, let’s blame it on my zodiac sign! Kidding aside, as I see my makeup and skincare products starting to build up, I know I had to get rid of them. FAST or they’ll be a total waste of money. Although I haven’t used up much, I am still happy to slowly clear my beauty counter. Without further ado, here is my Summer 2018 Empties. 

Summer 2018 Empties

Makeup

Makeup is the area where I really wanted to do more empties but it’s been difficult. I mean, with all the new exciting products in the market, it’s almost impossible for me to be consistent in certain products but I am getting there (I guess!). For this season, I am finally getting rid of the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer which I’ve been using for a few months now. It is a decent primer and one that worked well for me during the Winter and Summer seasons. It helped to keep my makeup in place and helped control any oiliness in my face.

Next is Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Bronzer which I also like. I use it mainly to contour my nose and forehead since the shade (Park Avenue Princess) gives me a natural and soft finish. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is a huge relief! It is a sample size but it took me forever to use it up which I don’t mind but it kept me from using the regular sized version which is still sitting in my makeup table.

Skincare

Skincare has been a winner on my empties and I want to keep it consistent. The Lemon VC Hydrating Mask from Miniso has been a favorite this season and so all three masks have been used up. It is supposed to brighten the skin which I thought I needed after my short trip to Cuba. Although I doubt that it made a huge improvement in my complexion, I was still impressed by how soft and firm it left my skin. For moisturizer, we have Origins’ Original Skin Matte Moisturizer with Willowherb. I used this mainly in the morning and it worked well on hydrating my skin before makeup application. Tarte’s Hydrating Boost Moisturizer is next in line. It was not the best but it worked well in the hydration part which is why I continued using it.

For lips, we have NYX’s #thisiseverything lip oil which has been my favorite since the past Winter. Unfortunately, this product has been unavailable in any drugstores I’ve been visited these past few weeks so I haven’t been able to repurchase. Maybe this is one of the brand’s limited edition products. Lastly, Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment by Fresh which is another favorite.

Hair

Pantene’s 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner is on the list again. I love how it makes my dry hair looks and feels softer so I kept repurchasing this product but I really hope that the brand will create a bigger bottle of this! Schwarzkopf’s Leave-in Cream is finally going! Although I’ve been using it for the past few months, it didn’t really give me huge results to make me repurchase again.

Body

Bath and Body Works Olive Oild Body Creme is the sole body care product this season. This lasted me a while and I hate to see it empty! I am so in love with its scent and how moisturizing it left my skin, especially during the colder seasons. Hopefully, this collection is still available in the store!
