“Ten Things I am Thankful For”
Happy Thanksgiving America! I hope you guys have an amazing day with your family and friends!
In conjunction with America’s Thanksgiving, I want to share with you all ten of the things that I am thankful for in life.
1. The gift of Life
Waking up everyday being alive is such a blessing! I’m thankful for every morning that I’m able to wake up and enjoy life as it is.
2. Family
I just can’t imagine a life without my family! I’m grateful for everyday and every moment I’m able to spend and enjoy with them. Life may not be perfect but for as long as we are all together, that’s more thab enough for me.
3. Good Friends
Having really few but real friends is something so precious to me. I’ve realized these past few years that there’s really no need to surround yourself with so much people if they’re not doing you any good. My friends are one of the reasons why I have a happier life and I am so thankful for that.
4. Good Health
I believe that having a good health is something that we’re all supposed to appreciate, be grateful that we still have so much energy to do the basic things in life and that we’re not suffering from any type of disease. One can have everything that life can offer but if you don’t have a good health then it’s not worth it.
5. Freedom
Isn’t it amazing to be free! That you can basically do all the things that you want (as long as it’s legal of course!), go to places you want to go and be whatever you want to be! I know there are still countries that have so much restrictions but I am so grateful to be living in a country that values everyone’s definition of freedom!
6. Employment
Although I don’t have a career on something that I’m really passionate about like writing, beauty or fashion, I’m still grateful to have a job which basically is why I’m able to sustain my needs. I know there are people who can’t find employment or have lost their jobs and that might be really difficult financially and may cause so much stress and I can’t imagine myself being in that situation.
7. Little things in Life
These are the things we always ignore. Lately though, I’ve been trying to appreciate everything because you know- life is short not to see the beauty of everything around us! Appreciate the trees, the flowers, the air we breath or even the freakin’ snow!
8. Time
Ah Time! We always say time is so fast and it’s true but as fast as it may seem to be, I’m lucky that I still have so much time to do what I love, to be with the people I love and to be the person I always wanted to become.
9. Being able to love and be loved
Love is one of the most beautiful in life! I’m thankful that in spite of my imperfections and mistakes, there are still people who does love me truly and even though people failed me in the past, I am still grateful that love is what’s prevailing in my heart. I learned that in order for you to be loved, you have to learn everything around you first and then everything will follow.
10. Basic Necessities
I am guilty of always wanting more but I guess that’s human nature- we always ask for more. Yet I realized that I am so much lucky to have the basic necessities in life to survive. I have a house that I’m living in, I’m able to eat three times a day (sometimes even more ?), I have access to a clean water to drink and a few clothes to keep me warm! If you thibk about it, these are very simple things yet they’re very important for a person to survive!
This is honestly an eye opening post because oftentimes we tend to focus on the negative sides of life or we tend to yearn for the things we don’t have and as a result, we forget that we are so much luckier for everything that we already have. We forget to appreciate the little things that actually is making a great impact or difference in our lives.
What are the things you are thankful for?
Much love,

Happy Thanksgiving! I agree that we often take for granted the basic necessities we have. If we would remember to be thankful in every season, not just when Thanksgiving is approaching, we would be so much more better off.
