Summer 2019 Sephora Haul
Summer has officially begun! Although this sounds really exciting, the change in temperature can require you to purchase some new beauty additions. Well, this is the case for me since my skin has been acting up so badly these past few weeks. Originally, I was supposed to only get a few essentials but I ended up splurging on a few things! So let me share my Summer 2019 Sephora Haul!
Summer 2019 Sephora Haul
Let’s first begin with the essentials that I was talking about earlier!
Skincare Products
My skin has transitioned significantly from being dry to oily this season. This is probably because of the rise in temperature but for some reasons, my skin is at its oiliest this time! To make it worst, my skin is dehydrated so it’s been really tricky for me to wear a majority of my foundations.
This is what prompted me to switch to products that can help me control the oiliness in my face area.
I picked up Murad’s Oil-Control Mattifier moisturizer to hopefully help me with this issue. However, I also like that it contains SPF which makes it really perfect for this season!
Next item is EradiKate by Kate Somerville. I’ve also been having some nasty breakouts and I thought this would be a great temporary alternative from the Dr. Dennis Gross Sulfur Mask. Also, this acne treatment has been raved about by a lot of people so I thought, why not give it a try?
Makeup Products
Now, let’s get into the exciting part, shall we!
Majority of the items from this makeup haul have been actually in my wish list. However, I’ve been really restricting myself in buying new makeup products so I only got to finally get them now.
But of course some items are also purchase to help me manage my oily skin. Well, at least this is what I tell myself! LOL.
First in our list is Kat Von D’s Lock-It Powder Foundation. I am hoping to use this as an alternative to my liquid foundations this season. The coverage is very decent which makes it really promising.
I am not really a fan of BB or CC creams but the Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream from It Cosmetics is one that I’ve been wanting to try for a while now. The coverage seems to be fuller than some CC cream which is perfect for my preference. I also love that it contains SPF 50 which makes this a perfect choice this season.
Next, we have the DAMN GIRL! Mascara by Too Faced! I’ve been seeing this a lot on Instagram which made me really curious. Surprisingly, it is not well accepted as the Better than Sex Mascara but I thought I’d still give it a try!
We also have Urban Decay’s Brow Blade Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil & Ink Stain. I do not own any waterproof eyebrow pencil so I thought this would be a good choice. This can also be perfect this season since we tend to frequent water parks and the beach.
The Cream Lip Stain in the shade 25 from Sephora Collection is an unexpected purchase. I was originally looking for a coral lipstick but decided to get this instead. The shade is beautiful and I thought it would be perfect for Summer.
Now, I also decided to get the Eyes To Mesmerize Cream Eyeshadow which is the very first product I’ll ever try from Charlotte Tilbury. This may not be a good choice since my eyelid is also oily but I just can’t let this go after swatching it at the store so I decided to still get it.
Huda Beauty’s Tantour Contour & Bronzer Cream is another item that I’ve been lusting for! I love how this seems to be very workable basing on Huda’s videos. Plus, having a product that can both be used to contour and bronze sounds really interesting to me.
Finally, we have Marc Jacob’s Accomplice Concealer & Touch Up Stick! This has also been in my wishlist since its release! I love that it’s a dual purpose product which is just perfect to carry around you. It also has really good reviews so it’s definitely difficult to pass!
And that’s it for today! I hope you guys enjoyed this post!
Have you tried any of these products? Would you recommend them?
Till next time,

I can attest the IT Cosmetics CC cream is full coverage. I use it sporadically, on days when I will speaking in front of a group for an extended period of time, or if I have a work event where I know a photographer will be milling around. Otherwise, I prefer the “almost there” look.
If it’s in your budget, I recommend purchasing two shades. One to match your skin tone in the dead of winter, and then the next shade up. During winter months, I use the lightest shade exclusively. As the weather warms up and I am spending more time in the sun, I start to blend in the next shade up. By late July or early August I am usually blending them in a 1:1 ratio.
