“Six Routines for a Beautiful Skin”

In order to have a beautiful and healthy skin, we need to have a good skin care routine that we should follow all year round.

Today, I want to share with you a few routines that you can either follow or add on your skin care regimen. These routines are very important no matter what your skin type is.

1. Wash your face at least two times a day.

This is the most basic step that we need to do since it can remove dirt and oil that was stuck on our faces. Make sure to choose a gentle yet effective cleanser that is suitable for your skin type.

2. Exfoliate.

Exfoliation is yet another important routine but is often neglected or over used by some. This process should only be done once a week if you have a sensitive skin and two to three times for anyone with a normal skin. Exfoliation is a must because it helps to thoroughly remove dirt and dead cells. I have shared a diy face scrub in my previous post that you can use as your exfoliant. (Click here if you missed it.)

3. Remove your make up before going to bed.

I know! After a long day at work or school, or even after a night out, we can get lazy to sometimes remove our make up. But we need to break this! not removing our make up can cause skin problems like acne! (No!)

4. Moisturize.

Hydrating the skin with a moisturizer regardless of your skin type is a must because when your skin is well hydrated, it can slow down the process of aging. (Yey!). You need to moisturize during the day and night.

5. Apply Sunscreen.

Sunscreen should be used everyday! And when I say everyday, I meant all year round. Yes! even during the winter because it does not only protect our skin from the sun’s UV rays but it can also slow down the aging process.
6. Have a healthy diet.

We’ve all heard it, whatever we put in our body will affect our outer appearance.  So make sure to include ftuits and vegetables on your diet for a healthier skin. Plus these type of foods have a lot of vitamins and minerals that are essential to your body. And of course! don’t forget to drink at least 8 glasses of water for a well hydrated skin.
