“DIY: Face and Body Scrub”
Exfoliation is one of the routines that we all need to do to have a healthy glowing skin. However, buying exfoliation products at the store could be really pricey. So I wanted to share with you a simple way of making your own face and body scrubs at a very reasonable price since majority of the ingredients you will need are things you probably already have in your kitchen.
So let’s get started…
Things you need:
- Olive oil- preferably Cold pressed(Coconut oil could be an alternative, just make sure to melt it first)
- Granulated White or Brown Sugar
- Cinnamon Powder
- Vitamin E-oil
- Honey
- Mason jars or any kind of container
- Bowl and spoon
FACE SCRUB:
Measurements:
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of olive oil
- 2 teaspoon of honey
- 4 capsules of Vitamin E oil
Procedure:
- Mix the granulated sugar, olive oil, vitamin E oil and honey in a bowl thoroughly.
The mixture has to look like this:
BODY SCRUB:
Measurements:
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of olive oil
- 2 teaspoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
- 4 capsules of Vitamin E oil
Procedure:
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Make sure that the mixture is not too dry or oily. Add more sugar or olive oil until you get the consistency that you like. (This applies to the face scrub as well)
After mixing all the ingredients. Transfer your mixtures into a mason jar. You can add some ribbons or any kind of design that you prefer to make it more personalise.
And voila!!! You have your very own Face and Body scrubs!

I love making my own scrubs. It seems healthier using natural ingredients from my kitchen. I know the scrubs will be fresh. Plus saving a few dollars and the environment from packaging are added benefits! Thank you for your post!

Going to pin this and give it a try this weekend. Do you use the facial scrub a lot?
thatgirlArlene
Oh thank you ?. I use it once a week and I would recommend for you to do the same. It’s not good to use it everyday because it is not good for the skin. You can also apply a body lotion to your skin (not to your face of course) after scrubbing for best results ??
