I tried the Rich Bitch Cactus + Vitamin C Moisturizer by Freck Beauty And This Is What I Thought
Before I talk about my experience with this moisturizer, I thought I’d give you guys a little story on why I decided to try it. Well, it’s actually very simple! Apparently, this moisturizer uses a cactus as one of its main ingredients!
I personally never used any skincare product with this ingredient and I never thought that a cactus has some skincare benefits!
To be specific, Freck Beauty used the oil of a Prickly Pear because it helps calm the look of inflammation and redness on the skin at the same time, it also helps to retain skin moisture.
These benefits I think are perfect for my skin type more importantly this Summer and so I decided to try this moisturizer out!
What I Love About This Moisturizer?
Of course, the quality of the product is what matters more but I want to start by saying that I love the simple and minimalistic grey packaging! The actual name of the moisturizer is very interesting which could be enough to taunt your curiosity!
Apart from the aesthetics and packaging, I also love the ingredients used for this moisturizer. I also talked about the cactus ingredient but it also contains Vitamin C which is amazing to brighten the skin.
It’s also important to mention that this moisturizer is formulated with NO Sulfates, Parabens, and other harmful ingredients to the skin. This means that you are actually applying something beneficial and not damaging to your skin!
Another thing that I love about this moisturizer is its soft and creamy consistency. It feels soft and glides very easily on the skin!
Since I use this moisturizer as a part of my morning routine, I can say that the formula works very well with my sunscreen and makeup products. In fact, it keeps my skin hydrated which is important before makeup application.
Although it’s not fragrance-free, the smell is actually soft, soothing and did not cause me any breakout.
What I Don't Love About It?
I’m very tempted to say that there’s nothing about this product that I don’t like. At the same time, it’s important for me to mention that it does take time for you to notice an improvement or for your blemishes to lighten in appearance.
In saying this, I also recognize the fact that benefits or improvements can take time on the majority of skincare products in the market.
The Verdict
Overall, I would highly recommend this moisturizer! The formula is amazing! It’s very rich which means a little goes a long way so you definitely can make the most of your buck!
The moisturizing capability is also outstanding! It’s very hydrating without leaving your skin feeling and looking greasy which is what I always look for when it comes to daily moisturizer. I mean, you can immediately feel that your skin is moisturized after applying!
