Extraordinary Trips for Adventure Seekers
Angkor Wat- Cambodia: Mystical Paradise
Set in the evocative natural landscape of the jungle, Angkor Wat, the capital of the first Khmer kingdom, is one of the most elaborate architectural monuments in the world. The lush vegetation embraces you from everywhere; the colours of the persimmons and the aromas of the exotic plants intoxicate you as you wander in the beautiful complex of temples.
The figures of statues and reliefs dominate the five towers of Angkor Wat that symbolize the five peaks of the mythical Mount Meru where the Hindu deity Shiva lived. The petite silhouettes of Buddhist monks in orange robes are the only movement in the jungle’s sweet, almost magical silence. Wherever you stand, you feel an aura of well-being permeating your body.
Hoi An- Vietnam: Exotic Time Machine
Hoi An is one of the most authentic villages in Asia. It remained untouched even by the Americans in the Vietnam War. The villagers spread their wares on colourful wicker pallets, the fishermen with the conical hats throw their nets into the river, doll shops and small cafes-restaurants that flirt lightly with the modern aesthetics while they are inserted between the pagodas and the tiny Vietnamese houses sweet colours of the sunset are reflected in the endless white beach of the Pacific. Nothing disturbs the traditional image of Hoi An, once a shopping mall and now a rising tourist resort. Here the past is all around you.
Highlands- Scotland: On the trails of Legend
About 600 castles are scattered across the plains and slopes of the Scottish countryside, most of them concentrated in the Grampian Highlands. Some stand in ruins reminiscent of the glamor and grandeur of the past while others now house new owners who have repaired and restored them with respect. Somewhere there, hidden in the legendary highlands, is the Castle Trail, a complex of eleven historic castles that traces its current path in the footsteps of the past.
Follow the organized route along the rivers Dee, Don, and Spey, which takes you on a journey through the history of the place and also includes visits to a dozen whiskey stations, for which the area is equally famous. A journey into the dreamy past, “watered” by the sweet dizziness of the present.
Victoria- Australia: Breathtaking Landscapes
One of the most impressive natural landscapes in the world: sculpted rocks that reach a height of up to 60 meters, sea slopes ideal for demanding surfers, green beaches with old fishing villages, dolly hotels, and protected national parks, breathtaking ocean views. The beauty of the ocean, the majesty of nature, the uniqueness of a landscape formed by the eternal power of the waves are revealed to you through a journey of 290 kilometers.
It is worthwhile to follow this long coastal route that stretches from West Melbourne to the south coast of Australia and has gone down in history because of the many shipwrecks that washed ashore during the colonization of Australia in the early 19th century. The route is called The Great Ocean Road and covers 290 km from the town of surfers Torquay (100 km southwest of Melbourne) to Warrnambool. Of course, to cover this route, you must own a vehicle. What we suggest is to rent a car from the city of Melbourne and go through all this magical route, enjoying the otherworldly landscapes from your car window. Choose the vehicle of your choice through Enjoy Travel, one of Australia’s most reliable car hire companies, and make this dream road trip right away.
Machu Picchu- Peru: Ancient Civilizations and Magic
Through the jungle’s dense vegetation, the hill emerges with the steep slope at the top of which is nestled in the sacred city of the Incas. The last part of the route through the jungle descends to the ruins of the Incas Huinay Huayna (3 hours). From there, we take a very narrow path to Intipunku (2 hours), the “gate of the sun”, from where we face for the first time the sacred city of Machu Picchu.
The image is unique. Awe is followed by magic as the energy emitted by the mythical city occupies us. The mysterious atmosphere of the ancient places of worship, dedicated to planets and stars, and the unique natural landscape of the jungle make the trip to Machu Picchu a unique experience for both nature lovers and “explorers” of ancient civilizations.
Till next time,
