I Tried The Hyaluronic Acid from The Ordinary And This Is What I Think
The Ordinary is one of my favorite skincare brands for years now. They’re not only affordable but I’ve also seen good results from the majority of the products that I’ve tried from them. One of their products that I’ve been loving lately is Hyaluronic Acid. I’ve been using it for months now and I thought it’s time to share what I think about this product right now!

What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic Acid is a molecule that is naturally present in our skin. It helps to keep the skin dewy and hydrated which makes it a good skincare ingredient if you have dry and/or dehydrated skin.
How Did It Changed My Skin?
For reference, I have sensitive skin that is prone to acne. I tend to also have some dry patches in my cheek area, especially during winter. However, for the most part, my skin is also dehydrated and dull.
These skin concerns prompted me to add Hyaluronic Acid to my skincare routine. Naturally, I picked the one from The Ordinary.
Initially, I incorporated this serum into my nighttime routine only. I apply it after my toner and before applying any creams.
Just like the majority of skincare products, I did not see an immediate result. It’s only after about 2-3 weeks that I started to notice my skin look more hydrated and moisturized than before.
Does It Work Before Makeup Application?
It’s only until about a month that I started adding this serum to my morning routine which I would realize a huge mistake! I find that this serum works really well with dry or dehydrated skin before makeup application since it helps to really moisturize the skin thus creating a smooth canvas.
This serum has also helped to get rid of my dry patches over time which really helped for a smoother and even foundation application.
The Verdict
If you have dry, dehydrated, or simply want to maintain your skin hydrated then this serum is a great choice! The result doesn’t happen over night but it works!
This serum completely eliminated the dry patches on my cheek area and has since kept my skin hydrated. As a result, I noticed that my skin is healthier and is less prone to breakouts.

I love this hyaluronic acid from The Ordinary, took me a while to notice the effects too but it defo does what it says. I’ve also got their exfoliating peel as well which is also amazing but I dont think it’s suitable for sensitive skin but defo leaves your skin looking new!
