Lip Glosses are my least favourite when it comes to makeup. However, since I started working from home, it became my must-have for a light makeup look for my zoom meetings. I’ve been using one lip gloss so far and I want to talk about it in today’s blog post! Lip Lifter Gloss by Maybelline New York Review
This lip gloss is one of the very few makeup products that I purchased for the past year as I’ve been trying to downsize my makeup collection. I was searching for a lip product that’s not drying and at the same time adds a little bit of colour on my lips and I thought this would be the perfect choice.
Topaz
There are ten available shades in this collection and I decided to pick the shade Topaz which is like a pink shade with a brown undertone. This shade also has glitter in it which gives it a shimmery finish.
This shade does not only compliments my skin tone but is also a nice shade to blend with another lipstick color.
Why Do I Love it?
The reason why I am not a big fan of lip glosses is that this type of product can be very sticky on the lips which I find very uncomfortable! Thankfully, Maybelline’s Lip Lifter Gloss does not have this consistency at all!
In fact, this lip gloss has a rich but soft texture sans the sticky consistency! It also feels very moisturizing which makes it perfect if you have a dry lips or is someone who prefers to leave your lips looking and feeling moisturized.
Another thing that convinced me that this is not your typical lip gloss is that it does not have that extremely shiny finish. Instead, it is shimmery due to the glitter components and almost give the illusion of fuller lips.
The most unique quality of this lip gloss, however, is that it contains Hyaluronic Acid. Personally, this is the very first lip product that I tried with this ingredient. Hyaluronic Acid is a common skincare ingredient which due to its moisturizing benefits.

Above is a swatch of the Topaz shade. I did not use any filter on the picture to make sure that you can see the actual color of the lip gloss.
I also want to quickly talk about the applicator. The wand is soft and has a perfect size which makes the application easier and smoother. It also picks up the right amount of product and distributes it evenly as well.
Verdict
Overall, I would highly recommend this lip gloss. It is a good everyday gloss that is moisturizing and does not feel sticky on the lips. It’s also affordable and has a decent color payoff.
