This year has not been the greatest for most of us however, if there’s one common thing that we all learned during this time, it’s that we can recreate a lot of things at home! We can set-up our own movie night, bake our own cookies or even treat ourselves some at-home spa experience! Personally, I enjoyed the latter! particularly doing my own nails at the comfort of my own home. So today, let me share some of the cutest nail lacquers that I’ve been rocking at home, introducing The Jollywood Collection by China Glaze!

The Jollywood Collection by China Glaze

China Glaze has been one of my favourite affordable nail lacquer brands for many years now and so I was so excited to receive their newest collection – The Jollywood Collection as a PR package. I immediately jump in and swatch the shades and honestly, I loved the colour selection, finish and quality of these nail polishes right on the bat!

So let me tell you a little bit about the collection before we dive in to the shades and swatches!

This Collection consists of 12 different sparkly and glittery shades which are inspired by the glitz and glam of Hollywood and is perfect for the upcoming holidays. These shades, in my opinion, are still wearable all year round and is made more festive because of all the different glitter bases in each lacquers. The finishes also ranges from shiny, matte and metallic which allows you to be creative when doing your own nails at home!

I don’t mean to be redundant but as I said, there are 12 beautiful shades in this collection and what better way to talk about the beautiful shades but by sharing some swatches!

What I Love About the Collection

Without running around the bush, I would say that I love the shade selection in this collection mainly because these are colours that I actually wear and would wear all year round. This for me is really important since it would allow me to get the most use of these nail lacquers.

This collection is also not your average glittery nail lacquer since they all have different glitter bases. I’m talking about different colours and shapes which for me is impressive. You also get a combination of shimmery, matte and metallic finishes which would allow you to rock different and eye-catching nail colours!

The consistency of each nail lacquers are also impeccable which is the same with all the China Glaze lacquers I’ve tried before. It’s not lumpy which is so easy to apply.

I also find that the shades usually lasts for about 7-10 days before I start seeing any chipping which is very decent for at-home manicures.

Finally, I also want to emphasize the shelf life of these lacquers. Since I’ve used many China Glaze products before, I can say that they normally last for over a year before they start to dry out. This is amazing since this would allow you to reuse these lacquers for a while!
