The Ordinary Products That Works for me & Why I Would Repurchase

It’s no secret how The Ordinary broke the skincare world. This brand proved that we don’t have to break the bank to have access to quality products that actually works! Personally, The Ordinary has been a part of my skincare routine for many years and this brand is here to stay for many reasons. Today, I let me talk about The Ordinary Products that works for me & why I would repurchase them over and over!

1. Mandelic Acid 10% + HA

This serum is by far my favourite The Ordinary product of all time and one that I have been repurchasing multiple times! This was formulated to reduce skin dullness, uneven texture, wrinkles and acne which are exactly my skin concerns. Although the result was initially slow, it still worked and delivered its claims with regular use.

In fact, I noticed a huge difference in my skin condition when I stopped using this serum. I was more prone to breakouts and my pores were more pronounced in the short time that I removed this in my routine.

I find that this serum helped to stop new breakouts but also helped to make my skin looks healthier and hydrated.

2. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

One of my biggest skin concerns is my enlarge pores on my cheek and chin areas. This does not only made makeup application more difficult but it also made my skin look dehydrated.

I tried multiple products (both skincare and makeup) to deal with this concern but so far, the Niacinamide serum from The Ordinary is what worked for me. I personally prefer using it every morning before makeup application to help blur my pores for an even makeup application.

3. Salicylic Acid 2% Solution

Although the Sulfur Mask from Dr. Dennis Gross is my ultimate favourite to treat Acne, the Salicylic Acid 2% Solution from The Ordinary is a great alternative if you are looking for a Salicylic acid treatment.

This actually heals existing breakout without drying the skin. It also helps in reducing any redness and prevents scarring once the acne is healed. I also find that this serum does an amazing job in preventing new breakouts which really helps to manage your breakouts.

4. Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone
alt="the best The ordinary Products 2020"

Vitamin C is one of my favourite skincare ingredients as it has a lot of benefits. However, I was accustomed to use the liquid form than gel or cream based formulas and so I was skeptical when I first used this product. It did not helped that I first tried the original Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% formula which was very gritty on the skin.

This new formula is much more smoother when applied and I find that the results are faster and more evident. This cream helped in reducing my acne scars and any redness caused by current and previous breakouts.

If you are on the hunt for an affordable Vitamin C to reduce acne scarring, this might be the best option out there!

5. Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA

To combat my dark spots, I use the Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA which I thought works really well with the Vitamin C. Now, I have to say that the results are not achieved over night but with continued use, this serum does help to lighten dark spots. In my case, mainly acne scars.

This serum also helped to even out my skin texture which again is one of my biggest skin concerns. If you are not a fan of Vitamin C, this serum is a good option to reduce any scarring on your face.

7. Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
alt="The Ordinary Products to try this 2020"

Toners for me are one of the important skincare products that we all have to incorporate in our skincare routine. However, this seemingly simple sounded product can cost a ton!

Which is why I was excited to find this Glycolic Acid Toner from The Ordinary which is way cheaper than the other products in the market but works similar if not even better.
This could even be a good alternative from the Glycolic acid toner from PIXI for almost a third of the price!

Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourite The Ordinary products?

Till next time,
