Catrice Cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage Foundation Product Review
Affordable foundation with quality coverage is unfortunately hard to come by. In my experience, you sometimes need to spend a few bucks if you’re aiming for a good coverage foundation and so finding a cheaper alternative is like finding a gem in a bucket full of stones! One promising brand with this criteria is Catrice Cosmetics. I’ve been testing a few of their products recently and today I want to share my Catrice Cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage Foundation Product Review.

Catrice Cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage Foundation Product Review
First of all, let’s talk about Catrice Cosmetics. Based on their website, They offer a full range of makeup products and they seemingly started to launch their own skincare line as well.
What’s really impressive about this brand is that they not only offer budget friendly items but they use clean ingredients when curating their products. They’re cruelty free, vegan, gluten free and oil free to name a few.
I know these sounds a lot but trust me, these are very beneficial to your skin!
What is it?
The HD Liquid Coverage Foundation is a mattifying foundation with a full coverage lasting for up to 24 hours.
This foundation is available in 23 shades and retails for $10.99 USD or $13.99 CAD.

What Do I Like About this Foundation?
I was initially drawn to its packaging because it’s very simple yet very eye-catching and functional.
I also love that it comes with a dropper applicator which makes it easy for you to control the amount of product that you want to use plus it’s very sanitary so long that you don’t touch the dropper on your skin or any unsanitized surface.
As per it claims, it does offer a decent coverage. It’s not as full coverage as I would like it to be but it’s buildable so you can pack the product until you get your desired coverage.
I really like that when doing this, it does not giving you a cakey finish and it does not feel heavy on the skin. These factors are important for me because of what my skin needs- full coverage to hide my red spots but I need my skin to still breath to avoid my pores to clog or new breakouts to appear.
My skin can also be oily mostly on my forehead and nose area. After a few hours of using this foundation, I was surprised that it’s still intact especially on my oily areas which is a big plus for me. This basically does not budge much especially if you set it with a powder.
I also noticed that it did have a mattifying effect on my oily areas which probably lasted for about 6-7 hours.
What Don't I Like About this Foundation.
Catrice Cosmetics claims this foundation to have a 24-hour staying power. To be honest, I’m always skeptical when a brand claims that their product can last for the whole day. I mean, who really needs their makeup for full 24 hours?
Also, how can we really test if this claim is valid when almost everyone washes their face off before going to bed or can undoubtedly ruin your makeup if you are “for some reasons” decided to wear it for 24 hours?
Anyways, my point is that this foundation can last. In my experience, about 9-10 hours before you need to see some foundation cracks on your face.
The Swatch
As you can see on the picture above, this foundation is slightly watery which makes it easy to apply and it spreads on the skin smoothly. Also, even with this consistency, it still provides a decent amount of coverage.
The Verdict
Overall, this is a good choice if you are looking for an inexpensive buildable foundation in the market. It does what it should as a foundation plus you can’t miss the standards that the company follow and use on their ingredients.
I personally would use this if I’m looking for a medium to full coverage whilst aiming a natural finish.
