What I Love About It?

Firstly, I am amazed on how affordable this product is! It is sold at only $6.70 CAD per bottle at Sephora and on their website. With this price, you may think that it’s too good to be true to deliver but fret not because we are talking about The Ordinary. here which definitely provides not so ordinary cheap skincare products.

Now on to the serious stuff…

I bought this product mainly to help manage my acne about 3 or 4 months ago. Although I used this in conjunction with other acne products, I can say that this helped heal my then existing breakouts and prevented any new zits! In fact, I ditched majority of other acne products that I was using previously and is now only using this on my nightly skincare routine.

I also noticed that this helps reduce the redness and size of new breakouts in just one use which I find really amazing.

Since this is the very first acid that I’ve ever incorporated on my skincare routine, I was initially skeptical as to how safe it is on my skin especially that I had fresh breakouts when I first started using it. But after my first use, I was convinced that it is actually safe and in fact very gentle to the skin.

I didn’t experience any bad reaction on my fresh zits, my skin didn’t peel and it didn’t dry out. My skin was actually smoother and well-hydrated the very next day.

Its packaging is also very convenient, hygienic and handy. I most especially love that it has a compact dropper since it reduces any contamination of the product. You are sure that whatever you are using on your face is clean!

Now, if you are wondering, the product is in a liquid formulation. It has a well balanced texture so it doesn’t feel oily or watery on the skin.

The Verdict

Overall, I highly recommend this product because it does work! It really helped heal my acne and I am now only left with marks that are healing slowly. My skin is also more hydrated and smoother!

I also like that it has an anti-aging benefit because it uses Mandelic acid as its main ingredient which is just perfect for me since I am now stepping in to my early thirties!
