Skincare Product Empties

Happy Tuesday everyone! It’s been a while since I last shared a Skincare Product Empties post so I thought today would be a good day to finally share one. I’ve been switching to different skincare products thus the lack of this kind of posts. However, lately, I’ve been managing to stick to my cult products which means you might be seeing more of this! Anyways, without further ado, let’s begin!

Garnier Skin Active Micellar Water

Garnier’s Micellar Water has easily made it to my cult favorites because of how gentle and effective it is. I particularly like using it as an eye makeup remover because it does not irritate my eye or dry my undereye area. I wouldn’t particularly recommend it as your main makeup remover since it still leaves some makeup residue but it’s a good product to use before applying your toner or to correct any mistake during makeup application.

What’s interesting is that Garnier has added more varieties that target different skincare concerns. There’s one that removes waterproof makeup and one that cleanses and purifies pores.

ORIGINS Original Skin Essence Lotion

This is the very first Essence that I’ve ever incorporated in my skincare routine and it instantly became one of my favorites. It has a watery consistency but it still managed to penetrate my skin well leaving it hydrated and ready for heavier skincare products.

I’ve been particularly using this during the Winter season and helped a lot to avoid any dryness on my skin. Now, Essences may not be as marketed as moisturizers are but they are just as important. It’s a more potent product that addresses particular concerns but will also boost other skincare products that you are using. I highly recommend using one if you still don’t!

OleHenriksen Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator

I got this moisturizer in the OLEHENRIKSEN’S advent calendar from Sephora in 2017 and I was able to use it up before its 12 months shelf-life expires. Overall, it was a good moisturizer. I did notice it to be very hydrating but not very outstanding compared to more affordable brands.

Personally, I prefer using it in the morning since it helped moisturize my skin really well which made makeup application easier. Although it was watery, it did not make my foundation runny nor did it make me looked oily.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. C+E Antioxidant Moisturizer

If I remember it correctly, I got this moisturizer in one of the skincare sets I got from Sephora. The bottle that contains .3 oz of product which may not be enough to test for a while. This claims to fight the visible signs of aging but at the same time gentler to the skin.

This moisturizer is a bit thicker but dissolves easily in the skin which is why I preferred using it at night. As for it claims, I believe I did not use it long enough for me to actually see great results but I still want to consider using it in the future.

NIP + FAB Glycolic FIX Scrub

This is one of those products that you so love that you want to use a lot but doesn’t want it to end! I absolutely love this facial scrub! The beads are large enough but at the same time very gentle to the skin. You can see and feel the results after every use. It also helps on reducing any blackheads and whiteheads around my nose area which I find really amazing.

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

The Ordinary is probably one of my go-to brands from 2017-2018 but I am a little hesitant to buy more products from the brand after all the controversies. Nevertheless, their Glycolic Acid is one of the best toners that I’ve ever tried. However, it is important to note that this is a bit strong especially if you have sensitive skin.

I highly recommend using it at night or every other night if your skin is not used to acids.

The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23%

Next from The Ordinary is the Vitamin C Suspension. I was extremely excited to try this product since I am a huge fan of Vitamin C but this just didn’t work for me. To make it short, I did not see any results (good or bad) from using this product over the past few months! It was doing absolutely nothing!

Application wise is also tricky because of its consistency. It feels gritty and my skin doesn’t seem to absorb it properly. The biggest bummer is that it didn’t helped to fade my acne scars which was the main reason why I wanted to try this one. I’ve read good reviews about this product but maybe it’s just not for me.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser

Here’s another one I got from a Sephora skincare set! This was always on my travel pouch because of its size but mainly because it was a very good cleanser. It was very effective in removing makeup thoroughly without drying my face. Just like most of First Aid Beauty’s products, this cleanser is very gentle and it’s safe to use even if you have fresh breakouts.

On to Facial Masks! The Lemon VC Mask from Miniso was my favorite during the Winter season. It was a very hydrating mask and it helped to brighten my overall complexion.

Next is the Firming Lift Coenzyme Q-10 Mask from Skin Recovery. Although the name is very fancy I still consider it as a regular sheet mask. I honestly did not see any firming effect but it was very hydrating since the mask contains a generous amount of liquid which is quite impressive.

Last on our list is the Black Charcoal Nose Strip from Danielle. I haven’t used the entire box yet but I have used a few of the strips already. Quite honestly, it’s not the best nose strip but it does the job. It’s not very effective in completely removing all the blackheads but it helps to lessen it. It was also very affordable but I may try another brand after using up the box.

Have you used any of these products? Would you recommend them?
