For the past few months, I’ve been trying out a few skincare products to hopefully find the best formulas that’ll suit my problematic skin. The Drunk Elephant Glycolic Night Serum is one of my recent discoveries and to say the least, my favorite. After using it for over two months, I can say that it helped improve my skin better that any other serums that I’ve used before.
If you are looking to purchase this serum or simply on a hunt for something that’ll work, this review is for you!

My Experience Using the Serum
Drunk Elephant has established a trusted name in the skincare industry. No wonder you’ll hear a lot of customer testimonials claiming how this brand changed their skin for the better. This is what enticed me to try out their Glycolic Serum. As you may already know, I have a sensitive, dehydrated and acne-prone skin. To top it all, I also have to endure red spots (because of acne scarring), uneven texture and dull skin.
Prior to using this serum, I have been using different products to address diffrent skin concerns. However, this seems to target all of my skin impediments in just one bottle!
I was extremely excited to start incorporating this in my night routine and honestly, it did not disappoint. After the first use, my skin did feel smoother the very next day! Although my pores did not shrink right away it did not bother me much knowing that my skin is still slightly better than it was the day before.
It’s also important for me to say that during the time that I started using the serum, I was having a bunch of breakouts. This did not cause me to breakout more nor did it make it worse. In fact, it helped heal my breakouts since this contains Salicylic Acid. It helped reduce redness and minimized the bumpiness of my breakouts after a straight week of using it.
At first, I thought I would experience a little bit of dryness within the first few uses since this serum contains AHA and BHA acids. Well, I was wrong! Instead my skin feels and looks more hydrated since all the ingredients works together to balance the results thus giving you an effective skincare product. This also helped to keep my skin well-hydrated during the Winter season.
The Swatch
This serum is gel-based and is really light. It is a tad sticky so it needs a little bit of working when applied to the skin.
Did it worked?
The question now is did it worked? YES! It did! This serum is truly amazing and is worth the splurge. Because it targets a lot of different skin concerns, you may be able to eliminate a few of your skincare products to just this serum.
What’s even more impressive about this product is that you can see results after just one use! Overtime, it’ll help you achieve a clearer and smoother skin.
What didn’t I like about it?
This serum comes with a hefty price tag and that’s one thing I didn’t like about it. I got the 30 mL bottle which retails for $112.00 CAD which left my wallet empty! However, it’s also fair to point out that serums really are expensive. The good news is, this actually works so I guess that justifies the price.
Second thing that I don’t like about this is that it does not help to avoid any new breakouts. It did help to manage and heal any existing breackouts but it would be perfect if this would actually prevent new ones.
The Verdict
Overall, this is a very effective serum! My skin has definitely improved a lot since I started using this. I can say that it really helped improved my skin’s texture. My pores are less visible and my skin feels and actually looks smoother.
Although, it did not completely help on my acne concerns (in terms of preventing new breakouts), I am still impressed on how it changed the condition of my skin.
Have you tried this serum? What are your thoughts about it?

I have been wanted to try this serum, but afraid that it would be too harsh for my skin. I have been loving Drunk Elephant Marula oil tho, Thanks for the review
