October 2018 Favourites

Happy Halloween everyone! Can you believe it’s the last day of October? This month came and went by so fast for me that I didn’t even realize it’s the end of the month! LOL. As I am writing this post, I am scolding myself for forgetting to buy a hat for my Halloween costume. What am I going to do?! Stores open at 9:00 or 10:00 AM and I had to be in the office before 9 AM so I guess I am screwed! Well, anyways, let’s just talk about my October 2018 Favourites shall we and I’ll worry about Halloween later on!

Makeup

I actually have a long list for this month’s makeup favorites but I narrowed it down to four. First on the list is Huda Beauty’s #FauxFilter Foundation. You all know I am a sucker for a full coverage foundation and this baby right here didn’t disappoint me! I only started wearing it early this month and it has been my favorite since. I just love how buildable this foundation is sans the cakey look so a natural look is very achievable. Huda Beauty is definitely one of the best beauty brands out there!

For my base, I’ve been obsessing’ with Covergirl’s Trublend Base Business Color Neutralizing Primer. It really works on correcting my skin redness plus it helps to keep my makeup last. With this product, I get two benefits in just one product which helps me save time in the morning.

Personnelle’s Matte Lipstick in the shade Country is a recent discovery during one of my visit to the drugstore. I was just curiously swatching products when I saw this collection and I immediately fell in love with the formula. It is matte but also very creamy so it doesn’t dry my lips. If you are curious more about this brand and the product, I’ll share a detailed review about this lippie very soon!

Of course, Fenty Beauty’s Killawatt Highlighter has to be in this list! I am particularly lovin’ the shade Hu$tla Baby because it compliments my skin tone so well. It has enough shimmer for a subtle glow but is not very blinding which can be overwhelming for a day to day look. This is absolutely one of my holy grail!

Body Care

This month, I’ve been using the Lavender & Sandalwood Body Oil from Bath and Body Works and let me tell you how obsessed I am with this magic oil! First and foremost, it smells amazing and is very calming which is why I prefer using it after my nightly showers. Thanks to the Lavender properties because it helps me sleep better at night. Unlike other body oils, this one does not feel greasy on the skin so it’s very comfortable to apply even in the morning. I also love how hydrating this oil feels which is perfect for the colder season. Since using this, my skin does not have any traces of dryness! Yey!

Hair Care

You all know I am a Pantene loyalist so it’s no surprise that this brand is appearing in this post. They recently released a new set of Shampoo and Conditioner called the PRO V Micellar. After seeing these two at the drugstore, I know I had to try them ASAP. So I did and I am amazed! The shampoo, first of all, smells so good and it always leaves my hair scalp feeling super clean. Whilst the conditioner did a good job leaving my hair really soft and bouncy. Believe me when I say this because my hair is extremely damaged and dry! But using these two products together helped to improve my hair’s quality so I am really impressed.

The last item for our hair products is this Quick Drying Thermal Spray from Ogx which I started using early this month. I do feel that it is protecting my hair from all the heat I am getting from using a hair dryer and a straightener but I like it more because it does help to cut my hair’s drying time. It is just a time-saver!

Brown Sling Bag

I usually prefer those really big handbags because I can literally carry my whole makeup collection or my closet in it so this item is a surprise. Can you even believe I got it from a bookstore? Yes! My favorite bookstore- Indigo or Chapters, carry accessories as well and it is where I found this gem. It is big enough to carry all essentials and is very light which makes it very convenient. I love using it when I am on the go and I like that it’s so easy to pair it with any outfits.
