Bye Bye Breakout Concealer by It Cosmetics
Having an acne prone skin is truly a struggle. It is important to find the right products to help you cure and prevent these breakouts from popping out again. But, it doesn’t stop there! Dealing with the aftermath of this windstorm is probably one of the worst! Personally, aside from being meticulous on my skincare products, finding the right makeup products is just as important. Concealer, for example, has played a major role in my makeup routine but finding the best has been a hit and miss. Until I discovered the Bye Bye Breakout Concealer by It Cosmetics a few months ago. It definitely is a game changer and one that I can see myself repurchasing over and over again. If you have the same skin problems as I do, then this post is for you!
Bye Bye Breakout Concealer by It Cosmetics
What do I like about it?
I am not gonna beat around the bush and just say straight that the best thing about this concealer is its coverage. Just like what It cosmetics described it, it is a full-coverage concealer in every sense of the word. For me, it is by far the only concealer that offered a full-coverage on both my acne scars and skin redness. I was immediately wowed the very first time I use it! Finally, I can brave a foundationless day with the help of this product alone!
Another thing that I really like about this concealer is how light it feels and looks on the skin. The consistency is very opaque but surprisingly feels so light when applied. It’ll just blend with your skin so smoothly giving you a natural finish. I guess it helped that it doesn’t cling or hold on to your fine lines or bumps and so the end result just looks natural. It is also highly buildable although I honestly don’t find the need for it because it already gives me enough coverage. If you do, you don’t have to worry about it looking cakey because it blends well with the skin.
The wand applicator that came with the bottle is just as impressive. The soft spongy tip takes the right amount of product and is washable (if you prefer) to avoid contamination especially if you apply it directly to your skin. Personally, I dab enough amount of product in my hand and use a different sponge to apply it in my affected areas. I find it more convenient and sanitary.
Reading the label is the final push for me to finally purchase this concealer. The ingredients contain Tea Tree Oil and Witch Hazel which are both beneficial to an acne prone skin. Think of this as a skincare and makeup all in one bottle. Honestly, it is just what I needed.
What I didn’t like about it?
With all the praises I just said about this concealer, I am having a difficult time listing the things (if any) I didn’t really like about it. The first thing that came to mind is the shade range. Currently, there are seven available shades for everyone to choose from which in my opinion is very limited. I have the shade Medium Tan which is already the fourth shade in their range. I have an olive skin so for ones with a darker complexion or different undertones, you may not find the perfect shade for your skin tone. Thinking about it now though, I find that It Cosmetics, in general, does not produce a wide array of shades on any of their products. I really wish that they would step up in this area since they are not only limiting their customers but I love brands that promote inclusivity.
The Verdict
Overall, this is a really good product especially for ones that are looking for a full-coverage concealer to hide their acne, blemishes or redness. Although this product was designed for oily skin, I didn’t find any difference in the result on my oily-dry combo skin. This means that this may be the best concealer for you regardless of your skin type.
For the price point, it may sound pricey at $38.00 CAD a bottle but for me, it’s all worth it. You get 10.5 ML amount of product that has a shelf life of two years plus great results. Nevermind the skincare benefits that you get along with it. Also, if you use other products like color corrector or other concealers, you can assure yourself that you won’t need the need to restock for this items because you get all of this in one bottle.
Have you tried this concealer yet or any products from It Cosmetics? Would you recommend it?

Do you use it all over your face (i.e.- under eye area, etc.) or just to spot conceal?
thatgirlarlene
Hi Michelle! I only use it to spot conceal mainly because because of its thick coverage. I use a lighter concealer for my under eye area (NARS Radiant concealer) and jaw area. I personally think that the Bye bye concealer is best to use to conceal acne scars or any red or brown spots on your face. 🙂

It sounds like a good concealer, but I feel like in 2018 now there needs to be more inclusivity for people with darker skin tones, and at this stage. I like the packaging actually and for how much there is, it looks like it’ll last a while. I’d love to try it but I don’t think it would be in my shade! Great review btw.

Thank you! You can check out their shade range if you can find a match for your skin tone. If not, Huda Beauty just released a really good concealer with high shade range so you are all covered! ♥️
