“Product Review: They’re Real Mascara by Benefit”

This mascara is one of the products I received on my November 2017 Ipsy Bag and I was immediately thrilled to try it out. After being somewhat disappointed with the Black Magic Mascara by Eyeko I thought it’s finally time for me to start using this mascara hoping that it’s going to be way better in terms of adding volume on my lashes.

I actually have very high hopes for this mascara because I’ve never been disappointed by Benefit in the past and boy I was absolutely right because I was immediately in love the very first time I used this bad boy!

First thing that impressed me is the wand of the applicator. The bristles are short and a bit distanced from each other which seemingly helped for a clean application on the lashes. It also helped to apply the product evenly to my lashes without clumping or leaving residue on my lashes. With the help of the wand, my lashes seemed to be longer like no one’s business!

In terms of volume, this mascara provided a really decent thickness on my lashes. It’s not going to make your lashes very thick but it still helped to make my lashes way more noticeable and existent.

In terms of longevity, this mascara stays all day long without looking dry or flaky. It didn’t irritate or didn’t itch my eye even after almost 12 hours of wearing it which I thought is very impressive because it may be a good indication that this mascara does not contain very harsh chemicals. I also noticed no smudging on my crease or my under eye the whole day which again is a big thumbs up.

As long wearing as this may be, I didn’t have any problem taking it off at the end of the day with a regular micellar water. It does not breakdown into small residue like the Eyeko Mascara which can be very irritating in the eye.

Over all, this is such an amazing mascara and I would definitely repurchase the regular size as soon as I’m able to clear up all my mascaras. I just love how it brought life in my almost absent lashes.

Have you tried this mascara yet? How’d you like it?

Much love,
