“Coffee Break: Dare to be Original!”

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I last follow-through with a “Coffee Break” post because I couldn’t seem to think of an interesting topic to talk about. For today’s post though, I thought I would finally talk about something that’s been bothering me for quite some time.

It’s the act of being original in creating or sharing your own contents in YOUR own blog or any form of craft!

I am sure that most bloggers can agree that creating or sharing a blog post can be very tedious from planning a topic to taking and editing pictures and finally writing your own contents all for the desire of sharing what you love to your lovely readers. What’s really disappointing though is too see your hardwork being mimicked or copied by other people. For me, it’s beyond insulting! Although I also understand that being original can be vague in the blogging world especially with blogs in the same niche since everyone would of course want to talk about what’s the latest or what’s going to interest people to visit your blog because reality is, all bloggers want to draw regular and even new readers on their site. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t be original on your blog posts and this certainly does not give anyone the license to imitate another blog’s contents.

A blogger for me is someone who can incorporate their own story, style, touch and art in every article or post they share. Isn’t it we all claim to love writing? That we’re happy and proud about our blogs? Why not share something from our hearts? Something that we truly love to talk about in our own style and way? Why not discover your own blogging style and embrace that? Why do we need to steal other people’s ideas, style and execution?

Personally, I follow or read quite a few blogs or bloggers both in WordPress and other blogging platforms and I draw inspiration from them but never to the extent of applying their ideas in my own blog. I love reading contents that are unique, real and sincere and I love bloggers who write from their hearts and that’s my basis on following a blog. I have to enjoy their articles but at the same time I know I have to respect their efforts in their every work.

I honestly believe that in order for a blog to thrive, it has to be original in every way possible- ideas, pictures, blog series, way of writing, approach, execution and so on. A blogger has to be creative in the way s/he shares her every story. Every blogger can of course talk about the same topics but it’s essential to always use your own ideas on how to share or create your own blog posts. You have to own your blog’s contents. In order for people to love what you’re writing, it’s important to share what’s in your heart in your own unique way. It’s completely unnecessary to base your articles or blog from other people’s hard work.

Although my blog is not famous or popular like some of the blogs out there, I can honestly say that ALL of my contents came from my own hardwork. I put so much effort on researching topics, taking and editing my very own pictures, brainstorming about my blog series and writing my own content based on my own idea and words. There are days when I get just a few hours of sleep because I really want to make sure that I’m sharing something that’s worth reading for. I know most bloggers do too and I have so much respect to all of you who actually share, create and use your own ideas.

In the end, we- bloggers are all aware about the amount of work and time a blog requires. RESPECT in each others work is therefore imperative!

Dare to be ORIGINAL!

CHOOSE to be ORIGINAL!

Much love,
