“Sephora Favorites Skin Wonderland Set: Is it really Worth it?”

The Skin Wonderland set is one of the skin care sets offered by Sephora that I’ve been eyeing since its release. I finally decided to snag it just recently and boy I’m glad I did! I’m really impressed with the amount of products this set contains so for $69.00 CAD, I’d say this is such a bargain!

The set came in a really cute cardboard box which is so sturdy and can be reused (talk about recycling you guys!). I’m actually thinking of ways on how to reuse this or maybe make a DIY using this box because I really feel like it’s just a waste to throw it.

Now, on to the goodies!

Sephora claims that this box has a total value of $205.00 CAD but let’s go through the products one by one and see if this calculation is accurate.

•Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer from First Aid Beauty•

This is the only product in the set that came in full size which retails for $35.00 CAD for 50 ML so already, this moisturizer covers more than half of this set’s value! I’ve read really good reviews about this moisturizer and is apparently very hydrating so I am planning to start using this during the Winter when my skin tend to get really dry.

•Umbrian Clay Purifying Mask by Fresh•

I love facial masks so when I saw this particular mask included in this set, I’m already thrilled. I became more giddy because the mask came in a 30 ML tube which retails for $30.00 CAD. Notice how this mask and the FAB moisturizer almost covered the whole value of this set? AMAZING!

•Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment by Tarte•

I’m really glad that Sephora included this eye product in this set because for some reasons, eye products usually costs a hell of a lot! The full size of this eye cream retails for $48.00 CAD for 0.35 oz. This set included 0.08 oz which is pretty decent and will definitely last a while. I have already used this eye cream and I like how moisturizing it felt under my eye and it did help to minimize my dark circles especially on days when I don’t get much sleep.

•Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter in Vanilla Apricot by Josie Maran•

Okay, you all know that I’ve been really obsessin’ on the 100% Pure Argan Oil Moisturizer from Josie Maran so I’m extremely excited to try out this body butter and I really thought that this is perfect for this the cold season we are in now! The full size retails for $43.00 CAD for 8 oz while the mini size retails for $15.00 for 2 oz. This set contains the mini size in Vanilla Apricot but is surprisingly not available in Sephora since this particular scent is only available in full size.

•Foreo Luna Play•

This little baby is actually the main reason why I really wanted this set. It retails for $49.00 CAD and is good for 100 uses. I’ve already used it once and I’m yet to fully see its magic on my skin but so far I like how it made my skin feeling soft after just one use! This device made this set super worth it!

•C.E.O. C + E antiOXIDANT Protect + Repair Moisturizer by Sunday Riley•

To be honest, this is a brand that’s new to me and I don’t even know Sephora have it until I saw it in this set. The full size retails for a whooping $85.00 for 1.7 oz. This set offered 0.3 oz which is pretty decent since the full size is expensive.

•The Essential Creme Fluid by AmorePacific•

Amorepacific is just one of the most expensive skincare brands in the market so I’m always excited to get their products in sets like this for a chance to try it out. This retails for $125.00 CAD for the full size which I can honestly say is too expensive for a moisturizer! This set however included a 5ML bottle which again is pretty decent.

•ExfoliKate Intense Exfoliator by Kate Somerville•

The full size retails for $102.00 CAD (60 ML) whilst the mini size (15 ML) retails for $29.00 CAD. This set however includes a 5 ML tube which is great amount to really test out this product before buying the dull size. Already, this exfoliator is one of Kate Somerville’s best sellers so it’s another steal!

•Lala Retro Whipped Cream by Drunk Elephant•

I’ve heard so much good stuff about Drunk Elephant but I haven’t actually tried any of their products because they’re expensive and I’m scared it might not work for me. I’m excited however to try this moisturizer and see how it’s going to work on my skin. This set contained 0.5 oz of this moisturizer which retails for $75.00 CAD for the full size (1.69 oz).

•Perfecting White Charcoal Mattifying Treatment Primer from Boscia•

Can’t Boscia find a shorter name for this primer? Really! Uggh! Anyways, this primer retails for $50.00 CAD for the full size (1.35 oz) which in my opinion is way pricey for a primer. I haven’t used it yet since I’m still trying to use up my Smashbox Photo Foundation Primer so let’s see if I’m going to like this.

•Truth Serum by Olehenriksen•

You’ve actually seen this in my October 2017 Sephora Haul and I’ve already started using it and so far I am liking it so this is a nice reserve once I ran out of my first bottle. Now, this serum retails for $156.00 CAD for the full size (3.4 oz), $90.00 CAD for 1.7 oz, $60.00 CAD for 1oz and $19.00 for the mini-size (0.5 oz) whilst this set contained a 0.25 oz bottle which can actually last a while because a little goes a long way for this serum.

Over all, this set is such a good deal! Again, for $69.00 CAD you’ll get to try 11 different kinds of amazing skin care products from really good and high end brands. I also like the variety that you get from this set since it almost covered all your skincare needs. The total value indicated by Sephora for me is accurate and may even cost more because as I said, most of these products are really expensive.

I am giving this set 10 out of 10 stars because of the value and quality you’re getting. Also, each product has a decent amount of sizes that can allow you to really experience every item which I thought is amazing so you get to see which ones really works for you.

Sephora deserves a loud round of applause for this one!

What do you think of this set?
Much love,
