“Product Review: De Jour Croc by Jayjun Cosmetic”

Korean skin care products have been making an audible noise in the international beauty scene these past few years and being someone who doesn’t want to be left out in the band wagon, I’ve been trying out a few Korean brand makeup and skin care products for a while now since most of them really works plus they mostly use natural and effective ingredients.

The De Jour Croc Aqua Brightening Cream from Jayjun Cosmetic is the newest Korean product that I am currently trying out. I’ve purchased this along with the Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel (Click here to read my review>> Product Review: Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel) that I am so obsessed with and I’ve been using it for more than a month now.

The product came in a cute little box adding elegance on the packaging and I liked that they used a glass container rather than a plastic container. It also came with a little spatula that you can use to take the product out.

It took me a while to share a review on this cream because I really want to test it out extensively and I really want to love it but it failed me tremendously. First off, this claims to be a brightening cream which is why I purchased it in the first place since my skin became darker after my six month stint in sunny Philippines but I didn’t notice any improvement at all! Secondly, the consistency of this cream is light but can go along way so I don’t need a lot of the product which I thought is good news since one bottle can last me a while, wrong! Although it’s light, it still made my face looks oily and shiny which is why I stopped using it as my morning cream even though you can fix this by applying a setting powder because honestly, I don’t have the time to constantly touch up especially if I’m at work.

I now use this at night before going to bed and I noticed that my skin doesn’t really absorb it. I feel like it just sits on my skin the whole time because whenever I wash my face the next day, I can feel it coming off, like I feel it on my hands.

I loved that it didn’t cause me to breakout but other than that I didn’t really see any outstanding changes or improvement in my skin since I started using this.

Sadly, this product is such a let down because I had really high hopes on this cream. I definitely won’t repurchase this and won’t recommend it. It actually is hydrating to the skin which is why I am still using it but it’s not doing it’s job.

Have you tried this cream? What are your thoughts about it?

Much love,

As a French, it makes my blood boil when French words are used to make a product look “classy”. “De jour croc” means absolutely nothing! The literal translation would be “during daytime munch”. Honestly!
Too bad it failed you. it seems that both its name and formula aren’t up to what they claim…

Yeah, this is such a let down. It didn’t do anything at all!!
I agree with your thoughts about brands using french words to make their products sound classy but is actually meaningless. I’ve seen quite a few and it’s absolutely laughable. I’m leaving in Montreal and has been exposed with the French language for years now and it’s really is frustrating to see things like this. I feel yah!
