“Summer 2017 Recap”
I can’t believe we are just days away from saying our goodbyes to this wonderful season called Summer! I felt like it just came and went in just a second or maybe because we had so many rainy days this Summer so that’s why I didn’t really notice it.
Anyways, before jumping in to my Autumn posts, I thought it’s a nice idea for me to share with you all what I’ve been up to in the Summmer of ’17. I also did a similar post last year (Click here to view) which is one of my most viewed posts last year which inspired me to share this post today.
If you’ve been following my blog for a while now, you may be aware that I spent half of this year in the Philippines before returning here in Montreal in the middle of June so I am so lucky to be able to have an extended summer from March to September this year! Yey.!
Whilst in the Philippines, I was able to reconnect with nature, extended family, friends, my cousins, my niece and nephews who are growing so fast!
I was also able to finally experience Trekking! Now, this is both exciting and challenging to me because I am not the sporty type of person so I really pushed myself here even though the treks that I did is pretty much easy especially in a perspective of those experienced hikers.
I also enjoyed some time alone in this beautiful garden called Mount Costa which is a new attraction in Baguio City and La Trinidad.
Me and my cousin also had a short visit at Ilocus Sur where we enjoyed the Spanish Architectures in Calle Crisologo, visited old churches, tasted some of the local delicacies and we even tried pottery making!
My good friend Judith and I also visited Bahay na Bato in Luna, La Union and enjoyed a short dip at a beach in San Juan before my flight back to Montreal.
Judith and I and a few friends visited Pugad Adventure in La Union which is a resort and park. It was such a fun day but the highlight of this trip was the lil’zipline we all did. We were all nervous except Judith who laughed at us the whole time. This wasn’t my first time to do on a zipline but this is probably the highest so I was extremely nervous but hey! I did it!
My most precious moments during my extended stay in the Philippines are the times I spent with my niece and nephews. Oh I miss them so much!
Once I’m back in Montreal, summer has pretty much just started so I manage to enjoy the season in this part of the world. I went on a short trip with my siblings in Quebec City, enjoyed summer strolls, Korean Bingsu, family time and pretty much just relaxing.
And ice creams!!
So that’s how my summer went. I really wished I was able to do more activities here in Montreal but being back to work means zero vacation so yeah!
I can’t wait for the Summer of ’18 to arrive!
What have you been up to this Summer?
Much love,

Thank you!

Woah, very cool! I spent my summer trying to avoid the heat at all costs. Not to mention that summer here in Texas will last for at least a few more weeks if not months.
thatgirlArlene
Really! That’s great to have an extended summer but I guess summer in Texas could really be humid?
Bri Ollre
Very humid. And too long. We don’t really get a fall. Or our fall is everyone else’s winter? Idk. The seasons don’t work down here
thatgirlArlene
Oh really? I think you guys are lucky to have that weather. Winters here in the east could be so cold which I hate so much. Enjoy the sun as much as you can!
Bri Ollre
How about we trade? Haha
thatgirlArlene
I wish that’s possible. LOL
