Argan Oil is one of the most beneficial oils that is widely used in many beauty and hair products because of the numerous benefits that it can provide to our skin. More and more brands are incorporating this magical oil in their product’s ingredients not only because of its wonderful effects on the skin and hair but because this is probably the most widely known oil in the market as of the moment. I myself have been a fan of this oil especially when it comes to hair care products since it did help to repair my dry hair but I haven’t really tried using it on my face.
So when I saw this Argan Oil from Physician’s Formula, I was intrigued to try it out. Since the oil can be used both on the skin and hair I though it would really be a good bargain. I was actually very excited to start using it to see what it’s going to do on my skin. I initially used it during the night before sleeping as a replacement of a night cream and decided to not use any other products to see how this oil works on it’s own.
The consistency of this product is actually thicker than what I expected but is surprisingly light to the skin. I use about 2-3 drops at night and only 2 drops during the day which is just enough to cover my entire face and neck. To be honest though, I was a bit worried when I first used it during the day because I thought it’s going to make my already oily face more oily but thankfully it did not happen so I welcomed this product as an addition to my morning essentials. It also blended smoothly with my foundation and powder and it did not make the foundation clog or crease. After a few hours of wearing it, my face didn’t look greasy at all but a bit shiny which can easily be solved by reapplying a powder and my face didn’t feel sticky at all. I also noticed that after one week of using this product, my skin seemed to be smoother and less oily compared before and my brown spots seems to be toning down so I’m super excited to see if they’re all going to disappear if I continuously use this product. I also liked that it didn’t break me out which is very important since my skin is very acne prone.
Not surprisingly, this product also helped to moisturize my dry hair. I use it every morning on a damp hair to make it absorb the oil properly. During the first time I used it, I actually put so much product on my hair which made my hair looks wet all day and made my neck greasy but eventually I managed to measure the perfect amount that I can use since my hair is really thick and dry. The only thing I didn’t like about this product is the smell. It does not have a scent or anything but their still a distinct smell that I didn’t like.
I still have to try it on my nails but over all i’ll rate this product from Physician’s Formula a 4 out of 5 only because of the smell. I still have to see it’s longer effect but so far I am having some positive results. Also, compared to other brands like Josie Maran this is way more affordable that offers the same results.
Have you tried this oil? Would you recommend it to others?
