Super Stay Matte Ink is a new addition to Maybelline’s growing makeup products which was just launched last June of this year (if I’m not mistaken) . Although I am not a fan of some Maybelline products, I still decided to give this collection a go since liquid lipsticks are just one of my makeup obsessions.

They have a total of ten different shades and out of which I chose the Believer and Voyager colors which is unusual for me since I would usually just pick one item if I am trying out a new product but since I cannot choose between the two shades I decided to purchase both to test. After trying out both lipsticks, I realized early on that I did not make a mistake on purchasing these two because I was really impressed with the overall quality of the product.

The very first thing I noticed is the consistency of the product which is not sticky when applied on the lips or even when it’s already dry. I also like that it does not have a strong smell or taste that could interfere with your tastebuds when eating or drinking. The product does not clump or it doesn’t tend to dry out even if you don’t apply a lip balm after putting on the lipstick which I usually find impossible to a few liquid lipsticks I’ve tried before. But what really impressed me about this product is its longevity! It can literally lasts all day like an Ink even after drinking a few cups of coffee and even a few meals. I didn’t need to reapply the product at all because it never budge the whole day! This can be a bummer though because it may take time for you to remove it at the end of the day. I’ve used my regular makeup remover and it took me about three attempts to completely remove the product from my lips.

Another thing that I loved about this product is that it does not stain your teeth or your clothes which works really well for me since I love wearing whites lately.

The applicator has a really good quality which makes the application easy and not messy. The brush has a perfect size and can hold ample amount of the product so it won’t require you to apply more than two coats unless of course you are going for a more vivid look.

Here’s a swatch I made on the product. Can you believe these swatches lasted one whole day! As you can see, the shades are true to its color even after just one or two applications.

Over all, I am so impressed with the product and would repurchase more shades from their collection. Although, I only prefer darker shades of lipstick, I may still try their lighter shades just to see how it’s going to work for me.

Have you tried any shades from this new collection? What would you recommend?

Much love,
