“A Foggy day at Mt. Cabuyao & Café in the Sky”

It was a beautiful and sunny morning that woke me and my friend up last Monday after a few days of continues rain here in Baguio City and we didn’t want to waste that taste of sunshine so we just decided to visit Mt. Cabuyao that very moment.

After a little bit of searching online (how to get there, the view, etc. etc.!) we then went on our way. We rode a jeepney bound to Green Valley which is located at Shagem Street (near Abanao Street). We got off at the end of the jeepney’s route which is the jump off area. We then started the trek by just following the cemented road until we reached the police station. This should be your mark that you are in the right way. Now, this is where the unexpected “trek”  began! (Well, if walking a cemented road could be called trekking of course! ?).

If you’ve been reading my previous posts about me and my friend’s trek to Mt. Kalugong and Mt. Yangbew in La Trinidad, I’ve mentioned that we passed by some cemented road as well before reaching our destinations. However, the road to Mt. Cabuyao is much more longer and steeper (if that’s even a word! ??).

It started to drizzle while we we’re still on our way but we still continued walking and walking and walking!! (Hell! we were already there so we kept going).

What I really loved about the long walk was the beautiful sceneries along the way. It was a very foggy day (a normal sight in the area as mentioned on the articles I’ve read) which added magic on the already picturesque views.

Me and the long road to Mt. Cabuyao!
My friend, Judith enjoying the view.

We even passed some vegetable plantations.

After approximately one hour and 30 minutes of walking, we passed by this well-known cafe called Cafe in Sky which we chose to visit after finishing the trek.

It was a cafe with a homey feel and has a really good view of the mountains and of course it was surrounded by fog! The crews were very friendly and helpful too.

We continued the trek by following the road (again!) we passed by some of these christian statues.

Eventually, we reached the radar (which I believe is the peak) but we were unfortunately not able to take some clear pictures on the area because it was really really foggy.

As a whole, it was a long but fun trek for me and my friend. Although it was drizzling, we were still amazed and enjoyed the sceneries. It was a fun day that we can add on our memories and adventures together.

Here’s a few more pictures I took during the trek.

And that’s our little adventure to Mt. Cabuyao and Cafe in the Sky. Hope you enjoyed this post.

Much love❤,
