“Basilique Notre-Dame de Montreal”

Basilique Notre-Dame De Montreal is another historical church located in Old Montreal. With its beautiful architecture and history, this church is proven to be one of Montreal’s most visited church. The interior part of the basilica shouts grandiose designs and colors which makes it one of the world’s most beautiful church. This is also where Céline Dion and her late husband got married back in 1994.

A few weeks ago, I shared a little tour at the Saint Joseph Oratory which is the largest church in Canada. (Click here to view old post) So today I want to give you another tour to another historical church here in Montreal.

And let’s begin the tour…

This Basilica is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen so far. It may not be as big as the Saint Joseph but its architecture is what makes this church one of the best.

One small thing that I dislike about this church though is that it’s very commercialized (my very own opinion) maybe because it’s located in one of Montreal’s tourist spots or maybe because this is where Céline Dion got married. Also, this is the only church I’ve been (so far) that requires an entrance fee (A fee of 5$ is required at the entrance) and since the church is full of tourists, it is not really a good church to go for a serene one on one conversation with God since everyone is just walking around taking pictures. Other than that I love this Church and would recommend it to anyone who are planning to visit Quebec.

Hope you enjoyed this little tour.
