“DIY Bath Salts”

A warm bath could be a simple and relaxing gift that we can reward ourselves after a long day at work or after a stressful day or week. However, buying bath salts could be pricey if you are one who regularly use bathing as a form of relaxation. So today I want to share with you an easy way to make your own bath salts. The ingredients are easily available at your local drugstores or food stores.

Here’s what you will need:

*1 Cup of Epsom Salt

*1 Cup of Sea Salt (preferably dead sea salt, I used regular sea salt since I was not able to find dead sea salt)

*Mason jars or any containers as you prefer

*2 drops of Food Coloring

*1 drop of Essential Oil of your choice

*Decorative Accessories (Optional)

***This measurement will make 2 jars of bath salts***

Directions:

*Mix the Epsom Salt and the Sea Salt in a bowl.

*Add 1 drop of food coloring (if you want the color to get darker, you can just add more drops).

*Add your desired essential oil.

*Place the mixture in a mason jar and decorate.

And you are done!!

Benefits:

*Epsom Salt:

  • Helps to soothe sore muscles.
  • Relaxes the body .
  • Helps to remove dead skin cells.
  • Soften the Skin.

*Sea Salt:

  • Reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
  • Leaves the skin smooth and young looking.
  • Hydrates the skin.

I hope you guys enjoyed this little DIY. It is very easy to make and the things you need are inexpensive. This is also a very good idea to make as a gift to your friends or family this coming holiday season.

I will be sharing a few more DIY’s using the Epsom Salt so watch out for that!
