The Spring 2018 Sample Challenge

One of the reasons why I prefer shopping on Sephora’s website is because I can freely choose samples with my purchases. This is such a good way of trying out new products without hurting my bank account since I get to test these products before deciding to get the full size. Unfortunately some samples contains so little product that you don’t get the chance to really see their benefits but some managed to give me really good impressions which eventually made me decide to get the full sizes.

These past few weeks, I have been trying to use up so many skin care products in my collection that I’ve completely forgotten about my “Sample Stash” until I had to search for a replacement for my daily cleanser. These samples have been neglected for a little while so I thought it’s a good idea for me to use ’em up this Spring!

Hair Product

Bb. Curl Anti-Humidity Gel Oil

This product is not designed for my hair type but it may be usable on days I want to sport a curly hair. I have tried a few samples from Bumble and bumble in the past and unfortunately they did not really left a lasting impression (thus explains why I can’t remember the exact products I sampled before) but that didn’t stop me from wanting to try this one out.

Makeup Samples

The Amazonian Clay Foundation is probably one of Tarte’s most talked about product so I want to try this out. The amount of the sample seems to be good for one use (for each shade) so I’m not sure if that would be enough to encourage me to buy the full size.

The Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer from Clinique is one of the products that I’ve been wanting for so long but at the same time, I’m very picky when it comes to foundations so I want to try the sample first before getting the full size.

Perfume Samples

I am not so keen on perfume samples lately because I’ve been trying to use up my existing ones so I honestly do not know why I snagged these two. The Walk on Air Eau de parfum from Kate Spade seems to be a promising on my little perfume collection but I chose the Spicebomb Eau de Toilette (for Men) from Viktor Rolf to test if it would be a nice perfume for me! (LOL)

Lip Products

I love fresh Lip Balms so I wanted to test out their newest product first before deciding to get the full-size since they’re a bit over priced. I just don’t want to waste money I guess.

I got this Plush Up Lip Gelato in one of my beauty subscriptions last year and I still haven’t tried any of the shades yet. I think the colors are perfect for Spring so I want to use them up this season!

Skin Care Products

Skin Care Products are the main contents of my Sample Stash because of my skin type. I have a sensitive and combination skin so I always find the need to change my skin care routine based on my existing skin concern. I take advantage of these samples because it does really help me to save money whilst managing to address my skin concerns. Another advantage is that I get to try different eye creams for free before sticking to one product that works best for me. These products are unbelievably expensive so again it’ll save me a lot of money!

Amongst all of these skin care samples, I am more excited to use the All-in-one Lactic Acid Treatment from Sunday Riley since it seems to target my biggest skin issue- dark spots!

Have you tried any of these samples? Would you reccommend them?

xoxo,
