The Ordinary. Skin Care Mini Haul

It’s no secret how The Ordinary. took everyone craving for their products. Beauty gurus all over social media have been loud on how much they’re impressed with this brand. What’s impressive about this label is its affordability and effectivity. Who would have thought that you can get high quality results without breaking the bank?

At first glance, The Ordinary’s clean and minimalist packaging will give you a high end price vibe but as they say, looks can be deceiving!

The hype for this product however has a big downside. Everyone doesn’t seem to miss out on this one thus making it’s availability very limited. I tried checking out different websites that carry this brand but most products are always sold out. Sephora of course tried to save the day by launching some The Ordinary products on their website since late December but then again, most are almost always SOLD OUT!

Finally, after days of checking and waiting I was able to purchase some of these beauties. Thank you Sephora for restocking!

What I managed to pick?

Although I wasn’t able to get the one’s I’ve been wanting to try, I managed to pick a few.

Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution ($8.70 CAD)•

This is a perfect alternative for the Glycolic Acid Toner from Pixi not only because of the price but this offer a higher percentage of Glycolic Acid which I would assume can give better results.

•Salicylic Acid 2% Solution ($5.30 CAD)•

This have been on my list for a while because my skin is acne prone. Salicylic Acid have been helping me to manage my breakouts so this would be a life saver (I guess!? I’ll wait till I start trying it out.)

•High-Adherence Silicone Primer ($4.90 CAD)•

I’ve been having a real bad obsession with primers lately but I haven’t really tried one that’s silicone based (I guess) so I’m just really curious on how this is going to work out.

•Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% ($5.80 CAD)•

I love anything with Vitamin C (Thanks to Ole Henriksen!) because of its benefits for the skin. Most products I’ve seen with thus ingredient can be really pricey so I want to see if this one would be a great alternative.

•Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA ($8.90 CAD)•

Okay, this is one of The Ordinary’s products that made me scratch my head! What the heck is Alpha Arbutin? Anyone? I honestly have no clue but let’s just see how it works I guess?

These products will be put to test really soon and I’ll share my thoughts about each one of them.

Have you tried any products from The Ordinary? Which one/s would you recommend?

xoxo,
