“October 2017 Empties”

Hey everyone! Can’t believe it’s already time for the usual end of the month posts. October went by so so fast don’t you think so?

Anyways, I’ll be sharing my very first empties post today! I personally love and enjoy this kind of posts so I thought it’d be fun for me to start this series on my blog as well. It always amazes me how other people could actually use up their makeup, skin care, body care and hair products because I personally almost never end up finishing up any products regardless of how much I love ’em because I’m always craving for new stuff to use. However, I’m hoping for this really bad habit to change because of this series since I would be motivated to always share some empties with you guys. So enough with the intro and let’s begin talking about my empties this month!

•Body Cream by Guess•

I actually forgot if I got this as a gift or if I bought it myself but I’m sure it came in a set along with a perfume. I’ve finished off the perfume months ago because I did like the smell but I completely forgot about this body cream although it’s already hald way used. I just started using it again a few weeks ago and I was successful on finally finishing it off! I really like the smell of this cream and I like that it’s not strong. It’s also very moisturizing on the skin.

Repurchase: If I see it in a gift set then YES!

•Hand Cream by La Roche-Posay•

This was actually given to me by my Mama! I like how moisturizing this cream feels on the skin especially during the winter and it also feels so soft and is not oily like most hand creams out there.

Repurchase: Yes! Once I finish off my remaining hand creams.

•Immaculate Foundation by Hourglass•

I’ve been craving for this foundation for ages! But the price always makes me turn away so when Sephora offered this as one of their samples, I automatically snag it! The sample contains 3 ML of the foundation and surprisingly it’s also my correct shade so I managed to use it 3 times. This has a really nice coverage but has a natural finish too. It’s also buildable without giving you a cakey look.

Repurchase: Oh hell Yes! (Once I manage to use up all my foundation of course).

•Eyebrow Gel by NYX•

This actually lasted me a few months so I consider it a smart purchase. I made a really short review about this (Click << HERE >> if you missed the review) on one of my previos posts and there’s no denying how much I like this product. I was also amazed on how long this lasted without drying up until early this month so I had to say adios to this gel.

Repurchase: YES!

•Voluminous Eyeliner by L’Oreal•

This actually is not an empty because I didn’t really completely use this up but this made it on this month’s empties because it already dried up which makes it completely useless. I think I’ve only used this a few times because I didn’t like it. The applicator feels so rough and it doesn’t apply the liner evenly so you end up hurting yourself before achieving your desired eyeliner look. I really like the packaging but it’s just not working for me.

Repurchase: No!!

•Hair Mask by Bumble and Bumble•

This is one of the samples I chose on one of my Sephora purchases last month because I’m looking for an effective hair mask for my super dry and damaged hair. The sample contained 15 ML of the product which is pretty decent for a sample size. I managed to use this 3 times (my hair is very thick) but unfortunately I didn’t see the results that I was looking for (maybe this requires a longer time of usage before you can see visible results, who knows?) so I didn’t like it. Also, it has a distinct smell that I can’t describe. It’s not that strong but it’s also not something I would like on a hair mask luckily the smell doesn’t really stay once you wash it off.

Repurchase: No!

•Clementine and Spices Lip Balm by Yves Rocher•

I got this on a gift set from one of my colleagues last year Christmas. I didn’t find it as moisturizing as my EOS Lip balm so I actually didn’t like it but since it’s a gift, I find it my responsibility to use it up because it makes me guilty whenever I throw or give away a gift I receive. I like that it doesn’t have a strong or bitter taste but it just didn’t help to heal my constantly chapped lips.

Repurchase: No.

And that’s it for today! Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I do. It just feels so good to actually use up some products rather than just throwing them up. I really hope I can be consistent on this. ?
Much love,
