“DIY Toner & Setting Spray”

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I last shared a DIY post let alone one that’s beauty related so I thought it’s a good time for me to share my own recipe of a homemade toner and Setting spray! I learned how to make these two beauties a few years ago since I find it difficult to find an effective toner and setting spray at that time and the ones that works could really be pricey. This simple recipe can save you $$$ and guaranteed effective! So let’s begin!

Here’s what you’ll need:

*Rose Water

*Glycerin

*Vitamin E Oil

*Containers

*Ribbons or Tags (Optional)

Rose Water Toner

*Simply pour some rose water in a bottle, prick two gels of Vitamin E in the bottle and mix and you are done! Isn’t it so easy?

Rose Water Setting Spray

*The measurement totally depends on how big or small the container you’re using but the ratio is always 1/3 Glycerin and 2/3 Rose Water. Now, you just have to pour the Glycerin on your container then prick three gels of Vitamin E in the bottle lastly, pour the Rose Water in the bottle and you are done!

Although all ingredients are safe to use on the skin and I personally never experienced any side effects, please make sure that you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients. You can try the finish products on your wrist to make sure there’s no harmful reaction.

You can add some ribbons, labels or tags on the finish products if you want to for more personal touch.

Now, let me explain why this recipe is effective and why I chose these ingredients.

Vitamin E Oil

*This is very effective on providing moisture on the skin and is a good anti-aging agent. It also helps to minimize the appearance of any scars reegadless if it’s new or old. This can also extend the life of your toner and setting spray for upto six weeks.

Rose Water

*Rose water contains anti-inflammatory properties that fights acne and dermatitis, it also has antioxidant properties that helps to regenerate skin tissues. It also helps to hydrate and moisturize the skin which is perfect for both summer and the colder seasons. Rose water also helps to maintain our skin’s ph Balance so it’ll help to avoid oiliness or dryness on the skin. As a toner, rose water helps to tighten pores.

Glycerin

Glycerin is a humectand which is why it’s a very popular ingredient in many cosmetics because it helps to lock in moisture in the skin. It is also effective for treating acne because of its anti-bacterial qualities. You can even use Glycerin as a moisturizer.

You can check out the ingredients of some toner and setting sprays and these ingredients are mostly included. So this is a very good alternative sans the added chemicals and for a way cheaper price. You can find Rose Water toners or setting sprays for more than $20.00 in the market which I find really expensive for something that you can make on your own.

You can use the toner twice a day while the setting spray can be used a few times throughout the day depending on your own preference. I personally use it after putting on my makeup because it does help to make it last all day and it helps to give you a natural finish. You can also use it to refresh your face during the hot and cold days! Another trick is to spray some on your eyeshadow brush before taking some product because it can help to intensify your eyeshadow colors!

Much love,
