“August Favorites”

August is almost over! This month came and went so fast but I feel like I haven’t even enjoyed summer as of yet since my workload is starting to pile up in the office which is literally draining my brain out of my head so I would always end up staying at home to relax and rest physically and mentally during my off days. There are days when I would go out for a walk to enjoy the sun but I unfortunately was unable to do any summer activities this year which kinda upsets me now that I am thinking about it but we still have 3 weeks to go before fall would officially begin so I am still hoping for some sun in the next few weeks.

Anyways, let’s go back to the reason why we’re all here- my August Favorites! I love reading monthly favorites posts so I thought it would be a good idea for me to start sharing this kind of posts in my blog because it’s fun and I can also do a little review on some of the products that I like but didn’t get the chance to talk about in my previous product review posts.

First on the list is my Physicians Formula Foundation which I already talked about here so I am not going in too much details about it but I included it in today’s list since it is my current everyday foundation.

Next is this moisturizer gel from Nature Republic that I got from a Korean beauty store for only $6.99 (a total bargain!) which is now my holy grail. It is made of 92% Aloe Vera as indicated on the packaging which is probably the reason why it worked wonders on my skin. It is very moisturizing which removes any dryness in my face and it also helped to close my pores and heal my skin from all the impurities. I use it day and night and you can literally feel and see the difference that it can do to your skin after just a few times of using it. I also liked that it stopped any signs of breakouts even when I am having so many sleepless nights which normally would result for zits here in there to pop out on my face. I highly reccommend this to anyone looking for an affordable and good moizturizer and yes I can’t wait to repurchase! Another favorites for skin care are the Glycolic Scrub and Cleanser from Nip+Fab. The consistency of both products are very smooth and they kind of leave that smoothness in your skin after every use. The Glycolic Scrub is very gentle on the skin and your skin would literally feel smooth after every use. It also helped that they used Glycolic Acid as a main ingredient because this is very effective on removing dead skin cells which would help to thoroughly clean the skin.

Next up is the Garnier Micellar Water which I love because it’s very gentle on the skin. It does help to remove makeup but it’s really not effective to remove all traces of eyeliner or mascara which is fine because this product is not really designed as a makeup remover. I like how it gives a cooling effect on the skin and it does not have any strong smell at all.

For eye makeup, I am loving the Loreal’s Volominous Lash Paradise which is said to be a dupe for Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara. I like how it can make my lashes looks thicker and longer and plus it is so easy to apply and remove.

For eyeliner, I am still obsessed with NYX’s Vinyl Liquid Liner. It lasts all day and it does not smudge or create any crease even after a few hours. The brush is so easy to use and apply so you need not to worry if you are a beginner when it comes to liquid liners like me.

Next up is an old favorite that I just revived this month, it’s the NYX Lingerie liquid lipstick in Lipli. The color is perfect for a simple everyday look and I liked how the product almost lasts all day.

Last one for makeup and another one from NYX is the HD Studio Photogenic Concelear. It has a very nice coverage and it blends well with my foundation. I randomly picked this product since I ran out of my favorite concelear from Makeup Forever and I had no time to go to Sephora to get a new one but I was really amazed on how well this product works. I decided to pass on the Makeup Forever concelear and to stick on this one instead since I am getting the same result for a way lesser price.

And now for hair products I am loving the Hair Mask from Maui. It is made from Shea Butter which helped to smooth and moisturize my dry and damaged hair. I loved that it did not work like an ordinary conditioner just like all the previous hair masks that I’ve used before because it actually reduced my hair’s dryness. It also smells really good which is a big plus to me because I love products that has a nice smell.

I also love the Argan Oil from Marc Anthony since it helped to repair my hair and it keeps it in place the whole day. My hair is so damaged because of all the treatments, highlights, colors and so on and on that I’ve been doing but I find that these two products helped to slowly repair my hair.

Lastly, my favorire fragrance is Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea Cherry Blossom that was given by my sister. The smell is so light which is perfect for an everyday use and it lasts for a while. I feel like the smell actually is very girly and floral and thankfully not fruity at all which is good for me because I am not really a big fan of fruity perfumes.

An so there goes my August Favorites! I didn’t expect this to be long but typical me, I tend to rumble. LOL. I apologize for that!

What’s your August favorites?

Much love,
