“My Favourite Drugstore Foundations”

When it comes to Foundations, I am very careful on choosing the right brand to use since my skin tend to breakout a lot these past few months. I am very hesitant to try and use new products that I have never worn in the past especially now that my skin is getting better since I am afraid that it could trigger another breakout. I talked about the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in my previous post (click here to read post) in which I mentioned that this product did not cause me to breakout so I stick to this product for months. However, that particular shade is a little bit darker than my skin tone (I just came from a vacation when I purchased this foundation so my skin was a little bit darker at that time) so I decided to go the drugstore and purchase a new foundation.

I first purchased the L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation but was not impressed when I first use the product so I went back to the store and purchased Maybelline’s Fit Me Foundation.

I was immediately impressed with the Maybelline Fit Me foundation since it gave me the coverage that I am looking for at that time. Also, I have read a lot of good reviews about this product from a lot of beauty bloggers online so I was pushed to try it out.

For some reasons though, I attempted to give the L’Oreal Magic Nude Foundation a try and to my surprised I ended up loving this baby as well.

So since the, I have been interchanging these two foundation depending on what I need on particular day.

L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder

*Why I love it? :

  • Did not cause me to breakout
  • Light weight (It felt natural on your skin and it feels like you are not wearing any foundation)
  • It doesn’t make the face looks oily.
  • Light-Medium Coverage (Perfect for days when you’re looking for a natural look)
  • Does not transfer to clothes.
  • Very easy to blend with translucent powder and/or bronzer.

Maybelline’s Fit Me Foundation

Why I love it?:

  • Medium-Full coverage.
  • Did not cause me to breakout.
  • Very easy to blend on the skin.
  • The shade is true to color.
  • Contains SPF 18 for sun protection.

Overall, these two products are the best drugstore foundations I have tried so far. Although both foundation requires substantial amount of the product in order for you to get the coverage that you are looking for it still did the job.

If you are looking for a drugstore foundation that gives you a lighter coverage and more natural look, I will recommend the L’Oreal foundation whereas if you are looking for more coverage I would recommend the Maybelline Fit Me foundation.

That’s it for today. I hope you guys find this post helpful if you are in a hunt for a drugstore foundation.
